Thanks Dave - saw your first reply and then checked here. If I have to as a last resort I'll go to 2 sources:
https://www.hydraulink.com
https://www.enzed.co.nz/West-Auckland
I'll get there

Re: Corroded tranmission oil pipes (metal)
Hello again Dave. Thanks very much to your knowledge I've been able to track down 3 separate units that will cover the one that is corroded and i can replace all at the same time. Once I've got them it will allow me either to buy 3 more and/or have them copied (maybe in copper) for the Coupe which i...

Re: Corroded tranmission oil pipes (metal)
Hello Richard. than k you and possibly that's an eventual solutuion. Challenge for me is to remove them and then having the car sit until I either get them copied or replacements - for the latter it's finding the correct part numbers. Dave (see above has helped tremendously) Regards Michael

Re: Corroded tranmission oil pipes (metal)
Hi Dave - thanks so much. Sometimes with such issues it's good for me to sit back and let my mind 'filter' which i've now been able to do. Real issue at the back of my mind is that the car might have had to be scrapped and/or is it worth spending money on what could be the start of real problems? In...

Corroded tranmission oil pipes (metal)
Hello All I posted this a few days ago, however in the wrong place: If anyone knows the part number for these or if they have a common partner etc in Honda or other models? Found this text from an older posting (Whitelion) which makes sense - mine is leaking oil like there's no tomorrow and I've had...

Re: My Rover 827 Sterling Option Pack 1989
Superbe Lodein! In the future if you ever need some parts for the car, here is a good contact although they might be expensive. Unfortunately he is in America but the good thing is that he know a lot about this model as the series was sold in the US as a 'Sterling' - he also knows what Honda parts c...

Re: Engine mounts - compatibility: Honda / Rover
Thank you yet again Dave. Your knowledge is invaluable. Pretty much having been through an accident last year (when I got side-swiped by someone who came through a red light) I've come to the realisation that 'everyday' parts are seemingly suddenly not so 'everyday' suddenly. Think you mentioned els...

Engine mounts - compatibility: Honda / Rover
This is a generic question which covers a few spares. Please transfer to a more suitable topic header. Specifically engine mounts for my Rover 827's (I've 2 cars). They're ok now but I'd like to 'future-proof' both of them. Not being in the UK I have to source from other than breakers etc. Part of m...

New Distributoe caps - 827's or Honda C27A engines
If it helps I notices 'Sterlingfixer' in the US has a few of these new for sale on eBay. If they are what you want the purchase price is superb. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Distributor-Cap-Legend-2-7-Sterling-827-Rover-827-TEC-made-in-Japan/224042604285?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p20...

Re: Contacts in New Zealand (or Oz)
Hi scooby - thanks for Pat's contact; I'm sure we've chatted just I had forgotten. Yes, a big challenge here when it comes to this model. Good thing though is now that I found a technician, I can have him run a diagnostic test to pick up other issues. I genuinely will keep this car on the road if at...

Contacts in New Zealand (or Oz)
Hi all 'guru' and SJG' please feel free to move this if it's not in an ideal thread. I'm hoping there could be some 827 (or 800) owners in New Zealand who still follow this group? It's a selfish need in the my car was hit by a red-light runner and took out my front bumper. As replacements are not av...

Re: Production tag.
Hi..'YMC..' is a code that I think usually refers to wiring looms or harnesses. I thought I recognised the sequence having had problems with my aribag system. If you use this link and type in the 'YMC' you'll see the series. Problem is Rover's changed part numbers for varying reasons, eg. if they ch...

Re: New to the group, so some pictures
Hi Dave as ever thanks for your advice. I've already accessed the Google drive..I'm going to call the mechanic this week. I'm increasingly of the view he doen't have the time to dedicate himself to this as opposed not know what he's doing. I wanted to bring the car back however he asked if he could ...

Re: New to the group, so some pictures
Hi Dave. I've only just seen this, so apologies for the delay. Essentially I'm in the hands of a good mechanic whose time is so burdened with customers that he can't dedicate himself to this car. He has the right test equipment etc. The last call to him told me he had pretty much replaced everything...
