Re: Rover 827 Vitesse Auto 1990 - 98,000 miles
Yo Benny - I get what you are saying; That asking £1k for a fairly rusty and rather unpopular car will generate no viewings and a lot of laughs. But here's the thing; these cars really only appeal to either enthusiasts or those looking to make a quick tidy profit by buying something they might deem ...

Re: Rover 827 Vitesse Auto 1990 - 98,000 miles
Benny, you sound a bit like Deano which is rather concerning. Soz mate, but the days of £100 Mk1 800s with full Tax and MOT are fast coming to an end. People are starting to realise the rarity of these things and soon they will start commanding higher prices. Yeah, so the car needs a bit of work, th...

Re: Brad's (very slow) 820 Sterling Coupe auto 1998
Good luck with the sale Brad. I don't blame you for selling it, I heard this run with its Montego soundalike engine, it just doesn't sound right, not the right engine for this car. All in all though, this car is immaculate. The last owner made quite a loss having spent about 4-figures on it. Whoever...

I'm sure it wouldn't be too complex. With the wealth of knowledge on this forum I reckon this car has a fighting chance of survival (or at least I hope so, otherwise I'll be in serious danger of bankrupting myself)Ed wrote:Awfully tempting. It looks the business. I wonder what the starting problem is?

Oh dear.I think I shall make her an offer.
Mind, if you do buy it, it'll be the first car I've managed to sell on behalf of another party so to speak.

16" Prestige alloys
KOKANE ON MAI BRAIN Anyone located in or near the Ystrad Mynach area? These alloys look rather tasty and cheap too, I know a lad down South (RoadWorkUK on here) after a set of 16" Prestige alloys having seen them on my recently moved Mk2 827 Sterling. Hier ist einer picture link: http://i.ebayimg.co...

Late Sterling Fastback on Facebook.
Somebody had asked me if I wanted to save this car: https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/1450065_10201990470514924_1599362263_n.jpg Click the picture to see on Facebook. Re: A selection of spotted stuff
Ah yes, I get it now! I just read through the Mk2 820 SE brochure. There was the 820 and 820 SE. The strange thing is, the brochure shows a Fastback with the early 16" 6-spoke alloys wheels and states that is what they come with as standard. Yet all the 820 SE's I've seen had Prestige alloys.

I've seen it. It doesn't look very nice. A dark colour over a lighter colour just doesn't do it for me.

Re: 1997 manual 825 - greeny colour (name escapes me)
do you have a pic of each colour to put up side by side to help me recognize them better Mo? Was Hotfuzz's Vitesse (Roland) Woodcote or Willow then? I've got a chart but its in one of my brochures, the colours are barely recognisable on the page so they might be difficult to decipher on a web page....
