Re: As if I don’t have too much to do...?

I've emailed Biltema about the metal compound but as it's weekend I got a very nice out of office (in Swedish).
Luckily there is an English translation underneath.
Have a nice day !

Re: Front struts Wanted

Just read the whole thread and I do have a brand new driver's door handle in Nightfire somewhere. I'll have a look through my many plastic boxes. I was going to try to adapt it to fit the Turbo but I think I'm just going to glue the existing one as it's only a split in the plastic and gorilla glue w...

Re: Front struts Wanted

For plastic parts I'd be considering 3D printing. I need a drivers door handle surround, not the actual handle, for my Mk1 turbo and a rear nearside handle (not the surround) for my white Mk1 820i although I do have a lever from the driver's door so that may fit. I wonder if modern printing would be...

Re: Manufacture dates

Thanks for the info, it does ring a bell with the name. I also have one of the last Mk1's which I bought off my Dad (also reg'd Dec 1991), that's a white 820i with the TWR kit, 16" Speedline alloys and ruched leather. It's a base model with manual rear windows, joystick door mirrors and manual sunro...

Manufacture dates

Hi everyone, I hope you're all ok. It's been a while since I posted but I do check back in now and again. I notice Chris has another 800 too, can't get rid of the cars once they're in your blood eh? Anyway, my 820 turbo is 30 years old this year and I want to find out when she was made. The registra...

Re: Number 58!

I bet the neighbours had to check the date to make sure they hadn't been sent back in time.
I think once the 800 genes are in your blood they may go into hibernation but they don't go away completely.

It was me and I still have a load left.
These are the type where the bolt holes line up and not set at 90 degrees. It's been a while since I sold any but it'll be £8.50 a pair including p&p.

Re: Mk2 interior

It's the piece which goes across the hatch opening and overlaps the inner D pillar covers and keeps the rear of the headlining in place and meets the hatch seal. You know, the bit that always breaks when you take it off. Having examined mine after removal, the problem is that the plastic lugs which ...

Re: Set of MK1 Trickford Rocker Panels needed

Motobuild did a copy of the TWR kit which was made of fibreglass, The Rover ones were ABS plastic and not foam and were held on by plastic clips. If you look at my car, you can get the idea of the shape so it may be possible to have some 3D printed or made by a fabricator. https://s33.postimg.cc/ytx...

Re: Mk1 Windscreen Scuttle Panel

I'm surprised no-one has made a pattern part for these as there seems to be a demand for them, like the sills.
I suppose I could measure my last new one for size and a sheet metal worker could make them.

Re: Chat about cars you've been in lately

Nissan Juke. The second one I've hired in the last four months. It's really not that bad a car despite its quirky looks. It's a firm ride but not overly so, The driving position is good and the amount of kit it's fitted with is great. I'd like to try the 4WD version if possible. Performance is good ...
