Last one went this weekend past!
Well, my 800 tenure has finally come to an end. My Vitesse has finally, after a year I think of waiting, gone to its new owner. It will be back on the road in a short while all going well, and it will at some stage, again grace?! my driveway when my friend visits. I also gave him all my Mk1 parts th...

Re: Wanted....a SRS module for a '95 Sterling 2.7
If u need a module i think oi have one from a 99 rover 800 let me know the part number on yours and i can check if mine is the same. Regards mark Thanks for the offer, but from what I have read, your one will be the later self reset one. I unfortunately need the earlier non resetting type. I have n...

Re: Wanted....a SRS module for a '95 Sterling 2.7
Hiya Paul, Thanks for your reply, no I am not that person! Haha. I have since spoken to the mechanics I use, and he has told me that anyone with a good diagnostic machine should still be able to fix the car. Apparently they come with the older cables needed for pre OBD2 type cars. As to how true thi...

Wanted....a SRS module for a '95 Sterling 2.7
As per the title, Needs to be posted to New Zealand. We have not been able to find anyone with the Microcheck/Fastcheck SRS module reset gear over here, and the SRS light is on. Caused by person trying to start car with flat battery, from what we can ascertain. I am assuming a good replacement modul...

Re: Sold my Mk1 800
Greetings all, I have finally sold my 1988 Mk1 Sterling! Why !!!! :( I blame Brad. he started this  Haha....yeah we can blame him! But the reality is, I have moved onto the 75 model. Over here the 800 is a tarted up Honda to most. Whereas the 75, people at least think of it as more a Rover......

Re: Sold my Mk1 800
I hope you stay in touch with us here Graeme I will be around. I have two friends with 800's. I have told them about the forum and tried to get them to join up - but they usually just call me and get me to sort everything and find out the info! Who knows, I may yet again buy another 800, and if I d...

Sold my Mk1 800
Greetings all, I have finally sold my 1988 Mk1 Sterling! Still waiting on my friend to collect the Vitesse. So that means my 800 ownership has come to an end. I still have numerous parts, but they will be going with the Vitesse. Have enough new air filters to last another decade! I have enjoyed my 8...

Re: Sold my 1995 Sterling
Thats a shame. What made you want to step away from 800's? Kate :D I needed to reduce my fleet size, and to be honest I like the 75 more. Yes they have their issues, but as a car, they are more my style. The vitesse is going to a friend, the Mk2 went back to my best friend, who I got it from.....so...

Sold this car last night as I have bought another Rover 75.....a NZ new 2001 Club SE 2.5 So I now only have my Mk1 2.5 Sterling left, my Vitesse is going to a friend of mine also. The Mk2 Sterling has been bought back by the friend I got it from! My fleet is being reduced down to my 2003 75 Tourer, ...

Re: Soft Brake Syndrome
As a point of interest......my Mk2 has much 'softer' brakes than my Mk1.
Both cars have had fluid replacement, pads etc.
The other Mk2 I had as spares was the same as well.
Has anyone else noticed this between the Mk1 and Mk2?

Re: New Addition - 1986 Rover Sterling (Rebecca)
Nice, I still get a kick out of driving my mk1 2.5. It has a better setup for me than the Mk2. Meaning I can get my wheel and seat setup for optimum positioning for my driving style. The mk2 seats don't go back far enough for me, and the thicker steering wheel means I have to have it higher up so as...
