LPG price increase
Who here uses LPG and hasn't filled up for a week or two? Be prepared for a BIG SHOCK. I filled up last night, normally about £25, last night £40. !!!!! A 38% increase almost overnight. 52p to 72p a litre at my local Asda. I almost couldn't sleep last night from the shock. My local Asda has been bub...

I just want a moan, I recently joined a couple of FB Rover 800 groups after seeing them noted on here and I thought "that's a good idea, there might be lots of good info on there as this forum is very quiet in recent years" as everyone seems to just use their mobile phones for everything these days....

Re: 827 front cylinder head
I've seen that engine on ebay for £450, way too expensive, my car is probably only worth that. Swapping the engine isn't an option at this stage, it'd be impossible without getting my car out back onto my flat drive where I normally do engine changes. I have a tandem garage, I built another single g...

Re: 827 front cylinder head
Thanks for your input Dave. I've debated the pro's & cons of taking the rear head off too. As you said I expect the rear head to be in a similar condition, but the old saying of 'if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it' springs to mind and also the rear head is a lot more difficult to get to. My curr...

827 front cylinder head
Hi folks, it's been a while but I'm still in love with my Rover. During the first lockdown I did some resto work, changing the radiator and front oil and water pipes, then after some brief use in November the front head gasket sprung a leak, leaking water into cylinder number 6. In reality it's been...

Re: Rear o/s abs sensor
I've just changed the rear hub for the one you sent me so don't want to change it again. I must of damaged the sensor getting it out. I just want a sensor, the fronts are different altogether and I have a couple of those already.

Does anyone have one that works for sensible money? Or know what cars it may be the same as.

Cheers, might be easier than getting Dave to post his unless he's already got it ready to post out.

O/S rear hub and wishbone
Does anyone have an O/S rear hub and wishbone going cheap I can have. I'm in Derby. After someone crashed into my Rover many months back I thought I'd fixed it with a replacement schocker that was bent, but my camber is still out, as well as the O/S rear toe. The car is too twitchy now as I've had t...

Re: gas shocks
From my experience you can use the shock either side, the brake hose will still fit on the wrong side of the bracket and if needs be the bracket can be bent slightly.

Re: Pre-production Coupes
Interesting, my Coupe sort of fits in this just above this numbering sequence J906SWK registered June 92, must of been one of the first run of production models.

Wanted: O/S - drivers side front leg/hub
I can't justify the cost or hassle of changing the wheel bearing so would rather change the whole leg.
Ebay prices are silly.
Anyone close to Derby have one spare for a reasonable price? (with good balljoint)

My new S-type
Finally parted with my Volvo S60 D5, the absolute best car I've ever owned. Cannot recommend one highly enough. It only went because I wanted another Jag, and my Volvo had now done 260k miles and had a couple of dents that weren't worth repairing. So the Volvo sold for £570 and I bought an S-type 3....
