How do I go about connecting up the 12v feed Dave? Do I need to get the seat out or can this be done in situ?
Whereabouts is the relay located?
Got lovely sunshine today, seems like a day for driving the car rather than fixing it... should I worry so much about passenger comfort?!! p

Re: Non working electric seat; any ideas?
Mines an 827 1993 Coupe. The seat base goes back and forth, and it'll tilt forwards, but it won't tilt back!
Thank you for the 12v battery solution, I shall have a go with that when the sun returns!
Thanks all

Non working electric seat; any ideas?
Hi guys and gals, Anyone know of a manual adjustment for the electric seats? My passenger seat was tilted forward by an unhappy friend who discovered it doesn't go back! Now anyone who gets in my car is either a rear seater, or a window kisser! Any help gratefully received! Muchos gracias 800'ers! Dan

Re: Rover 827 Crank position sensor fitting
Happy to say the belt was done just last year! Unless I was sure of that, I'd have it done straight away! My first 825 mk1 died that unfortunate death! I got the sensor by putting a part request on 247spares.co.uk. Had a reply and quote in about half an hour, the part is checked and working, and has...

Re: Rover 827 Crank position sensor fitting
Dug out the Haynes Manual, 4 spanner job, which is probably a bit out of my current comfort zone, as I don't want to be messing with the timing belt!
Garage for this one!
Hopefully this'll sort the drive!

Rover 827 Crank position sensor fitting
Hello all!
I managed to find the crank sensor for my coupe, has anyone fitted one? Any idea if this is a DIY job or best left to the garage?
Muchos gracias people.

Re: New here, need a crank sensor!
Thank for the link Tim! I checked it out, and it is indeed my car! It has been butchered mechanically a fair bit since John W sorted it! Blasphemy!!! Hi Very Tall Brad! Seems my car has done the rounds! Many thanks to you guys for your work on it, because it is in fantastic shape. It isn't running s...

Re: New here, need a crank sensor!
Can you see my car?! I am trying to get a pic up! I think I've sussed it! I'm about as good with computers as I am with cars, and sourcing crank sensors! Hope this link works... http://i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r502/jedidan75/RoverCoupe600x800.jpg The guy I bought my car off, Dave in Birmingham, ...

Re: New here, need a crank sensor!
Yeah, so the guy at the local garage told me! Sigh... apparently its the same one in the 2.7 Honda legend, which would be really useful to know if I could find one! Pffft! Many thanks for the welcome! I am new here, but I am presuming my car isn't as it has one of the site stickers in the window! St...

New here, need a crank sensor!
Hello to all you Rover lovers! I have recently bought a K Reg 827 Coupe. This is my 4th Coupe, but the first that was the colour and engine that I wanted! Black and chrome, mix made in shiny heaven! Of course, when you buy the second hand car, you buy the problems with it! Its in lovely nick to look...
