For sale: Sterling MK2 Honda V6 saloon N679XON 1995
Hello, With great reluctance I have decided now is the time to part company with my beloved Sterling that I have owned for 24 years. I wouldn't have lasted this long without this forum's help, especially to Dave but as I have mentioned on another topic, my specialist garage has closed down and I don...

Rover Centre (TMS) St Albans Closure
Hello, Unfortunately the Rover Centre Garage at St Albans (called TMS) has ceased trading effective 23/05/22. This is a disaster for me as they have been brilliant at servicing and carrying out the MOT for my Sterling for the past 8 years. If anyone can recommend an alternate trusted garage with kno...

Insurance valuations 2018
Hello, I am pleased with the increase I have just got on my guaranteed insurance value via Lancaster. The value is now £4, 750. Could be a useful reference for anyone else negotiating at the moment. I have gradually been able to increase it over the past 4 years. Cheers Eric https://i.postimg.cc/QBt...

Re: Red1's red one
Hi Mark, Good to hear from you. Yes they did it all, grille, boot badges, wings etc. Some of the door and roof rubbers were left in place as they said it was too fragile to remove. All in all the job was done well and now I am scared to drive it anywhere and getting stressed about having to wash it ...

Re: Red1's red one
So.... When placed with the kick closest to me and the groove facing down the kick points to the right as per this not so great photo. If I understand correctly then I have the nearside strip and the kick end fits deeper into the wing end of the indicator rather than closer to the headlight. That ma...

Re: Red1's red one
:D Well done Richard. I thought it might have taken a little bit more time but quite a few of you probably know every single bolt and fitting and so saw it immediately! That is why this site is so good. Chapeau! Later I found one of the rubber strips in the boot but I am still missing one..... What ...

Red1's red one
Hello, Just got my car back from Harris coachworks in Dunstable. They have done a great job, getting rid of the rust on the rear arches, offside wing and swapping out the nearside wing. The replacement wing came from very tall Brad via another forum member (thank you to both). Whilst they were at it...

Re: 1995 nearside front wing saloon mark2
I should clarify that I am putting the wing on ebay , not the car!
I used the photo size reduction option when uploading. Let me know if you need the original images uploaded.

1995 nearside front wing saloon mark2
Hello, I have this original front wing from my car that I am intending to put onto ebay in the next few days. Is anyone on the forum interested in purchasing it? You would have to collect from North London. Aside from the rust on the arch the wing is in good condition and the rust damage is pretty m...

Great. Nightfire red but I would be willing to paint it if it is not the right colour.

O/S outer rear door handle
Hello,
Would anyone have an offside rear door outer handle to sell?
I think the cold weather has finally pushed mine over the edge and is now broken.
It is a mark2 1995.
Thanks
Eric

Re: Bootlid latch cover
Hi all,
Just to confirm I did get the part from rimmer for the princely sum of 17p as you say.
They only had a light grey rather than black version but I am very pleased.
Thanks for the tips on where to get it.
Onto the next search.........
