Re: 17" Alloys and tyres - £45 for the set

Hi,

Are these wheels still on the market ?

Was looking for 15" set, but these might be just the ticket for the winter.

Cheers

Re: 800 coupe going cheap?

Did you get one ?
My Sterling Coupe is available, recent MOT, no problems there, but heater not working. Suspect Matrix blocked. doesn't overheat or anything, but pretty shitty at this time of year.

Re: Rover 800 Sterling Fastback for Sale : only 43,000 Miles

Thanks for responses. Not sure yet about the fans. Drove it back 20 miles on A roads in hottest day of the year conditions, reasonable traffic, lowish speeds. Temp gauge didn't budge from normal. Air con nice and cold. Cruise worked OK too. will give it some mileage over the next week or two to Edin...

Re: Rover 800 Sterling Fastback for Sale : only 43,000 Miles

Hello again, Car just uplifted this afternoon from the dealer mentioned above, and they have managed to repair and re-charge the air con system. Very nice too as it was 26 deg. here in Glasgow today. ABS light is currently "out" and the cruise control is functioning too. Car has had a full service, ...

Rover 800 Sterling Fastback for Sale : only 43,000 Miles !!

Hi, a few of you have been kind enough to offer advice and assistance (and even some parts - thanks) to help me get my beautiful Nightfire Red Sterling back to 100% condition, in order that I might use it forever more. However, I've recently had it in to one of my clients' garages (currently a SEAT ...

Re: 1993 827sli fastback with full leather

I'm in Glasgow and there's a guy here who loves customising American 50s roadsters. Paint, Metalwork, Interiors.

He's done upholstery for "normal" cars too mind you, but maybe you could find a similar expert locally to give you a custom rooflining.

Re: Diesel Coupe

All I can say is........... Wow ! I've had 15 x 800s in last 25 years. Yes, best one was Honda engined Vitesse manual. but, fond of all Sterlings of any engine, and particular favourite was S reg Silver SD Fastback. (aircon never worked - sticky windows - but that's all) Took me to Spain & back two ...

Re: New Rover 800 Coupe £22,950

All sounds very interesting - and challenging. I can give you some feedback relating to the registration process in Spain (this is NOT 100% as when I heard the hoops they put you through on the ITV (MOT) I lost my interest in pursuing it further) I have two neighbours in Spain, one with a 98 Discove...

Re: Rover 825Si for sale

The seller did tell me it takes a while for the engine to heat up and tickover remains high for longer than normal - ring him, he's very open about all aspects of the vehicle. Says he has a new thermostat in the ad. which I suspect he's bought for this heat-up issue. (I have a similar issue myself o...

Re: Rover 825Si for sale

Hi, I was interested in this car and rang the couple selling it. Very nice people. They elaborated on the condition etc. It's actually an 825i - not an Si - so therefore is more basic internally than first thought. That said, the interior condition looks superb, but there is NO sunroof !!?? I've had...

Re: Heater not functioning - Help !

Many thanks to all who have responded. As soon as I get a dry day (a rare sight at the moment) I'll get in under the bonnet. I'd like to replace the thermostat too, but don't know if that's a fiddly job for access. I have a further post, on another Rover foible - again it needs a dry day to investig...
