Re: Stickers Wanted

I make decals =) Have been for over 20 years but plotter is in storage. Thinking of dusting it off for a project (see my post on engine/gearbox section). I'd be glad to make some decals for free for the club if the owner/mods approve. Least I can do to say thanks for all the help over the years. I s...

Re: My Vitesse sport

I'm sorry to dig up an old post, but if you're still around, would you mind telling me if I could get a copy of your "notes"? That would help out trememdously. I'm fitting a Large computer into a late model MK1 and could use any info on pinouts, etc. I'm having trouble opening the google drive elect...

Re: Wanted: MK1 "Half size" trip computer

Yes, the seats were scrubbed, sanded, and then redyed. I've got to say, they look good as new! They filled in all the stress marks, and it's an amazing piece of work. I wouldn't hesitate to have them do it again on another car. I'll post a pic here soon

Re: Wanted: MK1 "Half size" trip computer

I like the cupholder idea for sure! That's one thing that is sorely missing. I like a cup of earl grey or jasmine green in the morning and too many times I've come out with a case of "hot crotch" after having to brake suddenly, squeezing the foam cup between my legs.... not fun. Not to mention I've ...

Re: Wanted: MK1 "Half size" trip computer

Dave, To be honest, as much as I would love to keep the car "original", I think I'm going to just tuck the computer box behind the dash so it can control the pass-thru for the lighting system behind the scenes. I'll instead install a double-din nav system or something... unsure yet. My old sterling ...

Wanted: MK1 "Half size" trip computer

Hey folks, My trip computer in my 1991 Sterling (USA) is on the fritz. It is one of the half-size, slim models, not the earlier large one with the tons of buttons (Which I prefer... I thought it gives it that 80's futuristic look) I live in the USA, so I would love if someone was willing to ship a n...

Re: Needed: Speedo Sensor, 1991 Sterling 827sli, Honda 2.71

hello folks, sorry to revive an old, old thread, but I wanted to post an update... I bought a transducer shortly thereafter from dale charles, and as luck would have it a 1991 827 popped up for sale in my hometown for $400. Ugly but driving. Its a parts car now. I now have two transducers thank God....

Needed: Speedo Sensor, 1991 Sterling 827sli, Honda 2.71

This is a 5-pin unit, part number YBE10026 . All the ones I see online have a part number of YBE10030 and a 2-pin connector, even at Rimmer Bros. If anyone has a spare 5-pin speedo sensor anywhere, please, please let me know. I'll be willing to make it worth your while and take care of any and all s...

Re: Needed: Large trip computer - U.S. or Abroad

Sigh, I actually personally removed a mint radio out of a '91 and last moment decided not to buy it... for $15. stupid stupid stupid. I just hope that the JY that had it ended up keeping it somewhere, cause I handed it back to the checkout teller. God knows where it is now. When I went to the JY and...

Re: Needed: Large trip computer - U.S. or Abroad

Well, its actually for a buddy of mine. His 89 is in need of one, missing since 2002 when he took it out for an unknown reason and got thrown away by his wife. That NEVER happens, right guys? Dale Charles is a great choice but the cost is quite high for something like that from him. Perhaps I need t...

Re: Hello from Texas! (1991 Sterling 827SLi)

Thanks to all! So far I've found some kind and responsive users here. I have a solid history of electrical troubleshooting and would be glad to help in any regard. The 800 however is quite a beast. Quite far ahead of its time, too far in fact - for lucas. I've encountered maladies of the most bewild...

Needed: Large trip computer - U.S. or Abroad

Hi all, Need a large trip computer to fit an 827. Anyone have one to sell to a Yank? Preferably Yank to Yank if possible, :D but I'm willing to pay the shipping and trouble costs if necessary if you're overseas and would be so kind to ship it. Many thanks! I'm residing in Austin, TX. Cheers, Rod R.
