Got my new sills today and a fine bit of kit today they are too. So thank you for your efforts.
Now I just need to find someone to fit them.

Re: Brand new sills
Have you had the new batch yet? I need a pair for a Mk1 Vitesse and even if the Mk2 ones are not identical they must me closer than anything else available.

Looks like a bargain to me, you don't often see a 4WD 800.

Re: master cylinder resevoir seals
Thanks Dave, have already tried Rimmers without success, will try Bigg Red next. I'm curious about why I would need MG-F/TF ABS parts if I used MG-F/TF seals?

master cylinder resevoir seals
Hi, I've got a slight leak between the m/cylinder and the reservoir, I presume it just needs new seals, can anyone tell me either what size they are and/or where to get some.
Thanks
Russ
Thanks

Hi I used Petseal many years ago & that worked well, you could also look at Slosh or Sureseal.

Re: Wanted. VCM dead or alive.
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the reply. My trip computer/vcm was made by Borg. I've no idea if Rover used more than one supplier for the tc/vcm but if the one you have is a slimline version and not the earlier large version then it should be a straight replacement.
What do want for it?

Wanted. VCM dead or alive.
Hi All, My VCM/trip computer is playing up, I maybe able to fix it, but I want to keep the car on the road while look at it. So all I really need at the moment is a dead one to use to allow the lights etc to work. That said, if I can't fix I'll need to find another one. Any help appreciated. Russ

Re: Hi from West Wales
Thanks Dave, that is interesting. If the VCM has been behaving like this in another vehicle then obviously it should be the VCM itself which is the problem. Although I am aware that it pays not to assume anything, I think I'll start there, I suppose it could be a component breaking down, I'll have t...

Re: Hi from West Wales
Thanks for the welcome and offers of help. I'm sure I will need advice at some point & probably soon. I'll be using the car over the winter as is, by spring/summer I hope to have room in the garage to start work on bodywork. The first electrical gremlin I need to sort out is the trip/vehicle monitor...

Hi I'm T120V more commonly known as Russ. I use T120V as it's the model number of a Bonnie I bought in '78. It's was 650, 5 speed, disc brake & best bike I've owned. I still have it.

Hi from West Wales
Hi all Just brought home my first 800, quite well known on forum as it's the ex urbanviking/whitelion58/verytallbrad Vitesse. An amazing car, it really is difficult to believe the mileage is genuine it feels so right. Some electrical Gremlins need to be evicted, some bodywork/paint problems, but not...
