Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

You've just answered your own argument and no the KV6 doesn't have MEMS, it's MEMS-2 made by Siemens. No real surprise cosidering Rover were owned by BMW by then I wasn't asking for an answer because I didn't know. I was merely comparing the same fob immobiliser setup over the years where other eng...

I never had any problems either.

They get used, they wear out like everything else.

Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

But the immobiliser is operated from a coded ECU and CCU regardless of MEMS as this is also the case with the 825 and nothing to do with the fob. Does the 825 KV6 have a MEMs ECU ? THE early Mk2 did not have the same coded ECU and CCU although the immobiliser was built into the CCU but not coded to ...

Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

The fob is only linked to the "pyramid" receiver on the Mk2 and the 827 follows different "rules" to the MEMS-equipped cars. I know this about the fob, in fact there are five variations throughout the series. This still does not get to the point of what is in the photo. Why would one fit a "high co...

Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

Always an arguement as ever  I'm looking at a photo of an ECU, CCU and a two button fob. This is where the arguement starts and finishes as far as everybody and their opinions are concerned regardless of the additional and quite interesting facts about the power gains. The photo is what it is.

Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

What is this set from as it looks as though it is from a Mk2 827 ? Single as in one remote fob only. My ...

I'm not a fan of the Coupe so I wouldn't buy another one.

Had one a few years ago mind you and wish I'd kept it as it was also in nice nick

I think I know who bought it.

I hope its as good as it looks and not hiding anything untoward on the bodywork, very rare in this condition.

Re: Mk1 827 Si Saloon

Its nice to be extravagant and get that new filler, especially so that your 827 looks so good in fairness. Bolting on new bits looks to be the only things you need to do. The thing though with that filler pipe is in reality none of those capillaries are needed, well, apart from the displacement vent...

Re: Re: 1994 BRG Vitesse Fastback

The strut turret has been reinforced and braced by the roll-cage so no worries there. Also it was designed in the first place to withstand vertical wheel location forces and loadings from the shock absorber. I can see the advantages of the new location.. Built to withstand the opposing force of the...
