It's perfectly serviceable but it's starting to fail where the strings attach and on one side of the hinge.

Re: Scoobys new 827 Sterling coupe
Not enough space Andy - that was my first thought as well. I've found some stand-offs (Toolstation M8 connector nuts, about 30mm long) just need some M8 studding or a couple of short lengths cut from an M8 bolt to fit them now and to enlarge the mounting holes in the P-clips. When i have the energy...

Good to hear the pipe fits!
This winter I'd like to have amassed a collection of broken 800 coolant, power steering, oil and auto gearbox pipes.
Given enough determination with my set of pipe benders I can make up some Jigs and Make to Order copper replacements.

Re: Breaking 1997 Vitesse Fastback
The thing is the rusty bits are not actually that bad! I could have easily fixed them and sledgehammer'd the nearside lower wishbones straight easily enough. (The car has clearly been crashed sideways into a kerb as both wheels on the left hand side have ~1 degree of positive camber) I tried my best...

Yes they did. This one had the recaros removed by previous owner. I actually was the chap who bought them off him!
The 17" wheels that were on this car were painted black (badly) and all slightly bent. I sold them ages ago.

Don't think so as if you go WOT at low RPM it bogs big time. Go easy and feather the throttle in as you're accelerating and it's fine.
Appreciate it mate, thanks!

Re: Urgent Help please folks! New Turbo needed ASAP
Thanks for the offer Tom, if I could pester you to PM me your mobile number I may want to pick your brains next week regarding putting bits back together - I've never had a turbo T-Series before. HOWEVER. Good news! Bodge of the century has seen me mobile again! Step 1 - Dig in the boot in the box o...

Hi all, I'm typing this while waiting for the recovery truck on the M55.... Yup, the Vitesse's turbo let go on me spewing oil and smoke everywhere. :( I'll be needing a replacement one, really don't care about age or condition as long as it's serviceable. Can anyone help me out? Please  ...

I have a set of Makita brushless tools. Drill, 1/4 impact driver and 4.5" angle grinder. I have 4 batteries for them which works out perfectly, one in each tool and one on the charger at all times. The batteries used to be silly money but are now more sensible with 3Ah ones at £40 each, 4Ah £60 and ...

Well done mate, you timed it right looking at the weather this week! I swear the fuel tank and it's mountings, level sender/in-tank pump unit etc was designed by a mushroom growing gynaecologist! Half the time you're in the dark getting covered in sh!t, the rest you're through a small hole feeling y...

Re: Chat about cars you've been in lately
Turbos and engine design has come a long way from the first 80's "boom" turbos. You all know the ones, lag so bad you write the engine a letter when you hit the accelerator and put a second class stamp on it! A friend of mine also has a 3 pot turbo fiesta, it's all torque from 1500 upwards. 7...

Tell me about it - HNA code covers a few BRG cars. They never seem to quite match correctly.dollysprint wrote:Sure you already know this Mal but if you are trying to source Nightfire ones to save on the spraying then there was 2 nightfires, same as 3 British Racing Greens and 2 whitegolds ect ect
