Yeah, guy says it’s an export model and for an Si to have climate control I guess it must be a none UK spec.

Re: Fuel filler necks and expansion tanks
Great find Alex. It occurs to me that in the not too distant future as 3D printing becomes commercialised I suspect filler necks etc; will be available for a reasonable price. The old skills of fabrication replaced by a spotty faced 3D design graduate on minimum wage. Boots, yes Boots the chemists, ...

Re: NEW OLD STOCK VM 2.5 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE
That’s some fairly advanced oxidation on the alloy. Looks more like a recon block with some new(ish) bits bolted on because an engine from a Rover dealer would have just been an engine. No starter or diesel pump.

Re: 1989 827 Sterling F64 TKV £495!!!
Indeed. The amount I've spent on these cars over the years is staggering. I'm sure we are all the same. People seem to have short memories that this year I've saved two of these cars from going to certain scrap. 1) The Mk2 825 which was about to be scrapped if no one had stepped forwards to buy (wh...

Re: Rover 820 Coupe (S948 OEO)
Yes I’ve done an 820 – 827 conversion. There are many reasons why I wouldn’t do it again. These are old cars, the amount of work required to convert them is simply not worth the time investment. Even with a VIC check the MOT man, DVLA and Insurance companies don’t really like them. An oddball conve...

What is an SRS light spoofing module?
Is it an after market thing or a home made piece of electronics?
If it’s home made are there any specs so I can get the components from Maplin or RS?

Re: 89' Rover Vitesse G358 CVC
Mercedade has some very valid points. I’ve let three “project” cars get scrapped simply by taking on too much even after making a valiant start and replacing disks/cambelts/shocks etc; years pass and other life events get in the way. Two years ago I took on a Mk2 Sterling that drove beautifully, so ...

The master cyl in that listing is for cars WITHOUT ABS whereas the OP says his car has ABS.

Re: 285mm Calipers
You're right they’re not the same. I suspect there is also a difference in swept fluid volume within both the master cylinders and callipers. I have tried using the Mk1 285 Girling callipers on a Mk2 but didn’t feel like there was any advantage in stopping capability. It did make me feel as if I had...

Re: 1996 5 Dr Vitesse with LUX pack
You’re right. More accurately I’ve never seen a LUX that wasn’t 200bhp. I have however seen a sport without LUX. So the leather interior was probably still called a LUX pack on the Mk2b.

Re: F reg 827 vitesse manual
It has the wrong front bumper off the Mk1b rather than the small type. These are very hard to come by. I'm lucky enough to have bought the small type off ebay recently - front and rear which are undamaged. They are prone to cracking quite easily. Neither does the bumper have the lower air splitter ...

Re: 1996 5 Dr Vitesse with LUX pack
LUX pack was full leather, A/C, Illuminated passenger sun visor but the passenger seat was not electric and 200bhp on tap. Only available on Mk2a cars as all Mk2b cars were 200bhp so the uplift was no longer called a LUX pack.

P reg Mk2a without N/S airbag – That was sitting on a car park for a few years before it was sold, early M reg at best.
