Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!

Nothing too exciting. Just the first part to arrive so on it went! https://i.postimg.cc/pmtcspzr/PXL-20231010-165716283.jpg This is me showing my ignorance again: are these two parts directly comparable, just that the shiney one needs some plumbing mods? If you don't ask, you don't learn. Yes, moun...

Re: Huge pile of spares, free to collector. Also recon rack for 827

These spares are now gone, thanks to Jim and Phil for collecting! Thanks also to both for a prompt collection, hopefully those parts will give continued life to at least 2 cars. There may be a few other odds and ends floating around, if there is anything useful that is likely to be rare, i'll post i...

Re: Fastback's cars.

Ah, that's what happens on the 827 if too large a bore is used! Also kills the performance and economy! I totally agree you're going down the right road (no pun intended) to get an exhaust that doesn't give those problems. I doubt the square part of the perforated pipe actually does anything but it ...

Re: Fastback's cars.

Interesting stuff Mark! Surprised it's a baffled silencer, i would guess the wadding would be some sort of fibreglass silencer wadding in the chambers where the perforations are. Something along the lines of : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283361392968 I would be very tempted to fit a straight through ...

Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!

Interesting diagnosis! Strange how it would still sort of drive with the "wrong" TPS? We haven't had the engine apart, so don't know when that happened. Looks like my classic friendly garage who changed the sump my have been a bit rustic on the old girl! You should have taken the spares turbo coupe...

Re: Fastback's cars.

The right one I'm more used to seeing on manifolds but have never seen one used on the pipe flanges before. I'm sure this is just me, so it's a bit embarrasssing, but what's the difference and the relavtive merits of each? I feel like such a newb at times.   They both obviously do...

I'm sure it must have been mentioned somewhere before, but what is 'The Green Machine'? ie trim level, engine.
As far as i recall, it's a 1999 820Si on LPG - i'm sure Scott or Dusan will confirm/correct me as applicable.

Re: Huge pile of spares, free to collector. Also recon rack for 827

Some of it is Phil, mostly 2.7 specific stuff as the racks have both gone. Got a couple of starters, a dizzy and some other bits for sure, an ECU with a known fault (but otherwise good) and several new 827 bits like timing belt, air filter, timing belt tensioner springs plus some other stuff that wa...

Looks a nice wee beastie - same/similar colour to my Jag.

Didn't Dusan say he would be interested in buying TGM if the opportunity came up?
