These sills are damned fantastic. Drivers side fit went really well. Despite the MASSIVE corrosion inside.
Car still has to have the passenger side done. Other things have taken a priority.
It will be worth the wait. After all, its a V plate Nightfire Fastback Vitesse!

Re: Remade bumper bracket
I will have an investigation of my fleet and work out how many cars need them. It's at least 1, and possibly 3!!!

I was sad when I heard. His museum is on my list of Must do's.
His manuals have made me who i am, an dcapable of what I do, along with watching and learning from my dad when I were a kid as he followed his manuals in the 70's & 80's

Soo glad it fired up.
Was thinking about your car at the weekend as i did a near 600 mile trip in my car:
Have you chanegd any of the rear suspension rubbers? If so, what did you use? Really want to change all the rubbers and bushes on my car(s)

Wish I could weld that well.
I'm feeling getting a TIG welder soon. Got 2 MIG's at the moment

Re: 2019
Happy New Year Everyone. My aim this year is for a minimum of 3 of my 800's legal and Rebuilt. 2 are done. Got both the Vitesse's to do. Finish the other sill on the Nightfire fastback, then both sills, engine & box rebuild and rebush the Coupe. And hopefully paint the bumpers on the Nightfire saloo...

Re: Sixth Light Finisher
Sorry, can't help you with the part.
However, I do like the idea of Seek-n-Seal. I have a few things I could use that on, and not all 800 related!
primary use is going to be that really awkward and annoying panel join on boot drain chanel on the Coupé near the rear window

Re: Manalishis Mk 1 827 Vitesse (manual)
I'd be more interested to know what that modification to the wiring is. That red wire joine dto the yellow with the blue Butt connector isnt standard. And then you've got the taped up red wire. Also, your under dash bar is black. On all my Mk2's, its been galvanised metal. I know its galvanised as I...

Re: NEC and Rover 800 owners club
Speechless. I cant actually believe that such a small group of people with a vested interest in the same marque of car can split the support up for it. Or can I... I'm still very proud to have had my Pewter Coupe shown at the 1st NEC show, and would love to show another car again. Sadly, it's not th...

Re: My V reg Nightfire Vitesse Fastback!
Update time. Been doing a load more. Sill done and on. Spot welded on the bottom, and ground off too. Slightly rippled on the seam weld. (Not happy with it. MIGHT give it a skin of filler) Both rear Anti Roll bar mounts done, etched, primd, and ready for underseal. Have some pictures :) https://i.po...

My V reg Nightfire Vitesse Fastback!
So, back a few months ago, I bought a Nightfire Vitesse Fastback. And so the Nightfiremare starts... I have known this car for several years, and the previous owner was always spending money on the mechanicals. It even came with a sealed box with a gearbox in it that he had bought for the car.! He w...

Re: Red1's red one
Wash it very carefully, microfibe cloth. 2 bucket system with a grit guard in the bottom of each bucket. Dry with a fresh clean microfibre towel. Polish the paint, seal it, then wax it. If you want, you can then add a decent ceramic coating to fully protect the paint. Beware about ceramic coatings t...
