Re: Re: 1994 BRG Vitesse Fastback

Thanks Shaun, I suspect it will not be the best road set up and quite a change over the previous virtually standard arrangement.
Mercedade, what is wrong with your current bushes, I think they are meant to have plenty of "give" as they are just two big lumps of rubber each side.

Re: 1994 BRG Vitesse Fastback

Slow progress but getting there, the turrets are painted. The rear lower arms are finished with the spring seat removed and an extra tab welded on for the anti roll bar link, a coat of silver Hammerite and new bushes. Turrets welded https://bluengreen.net/Rover%20Vitesse%20rear%20turret%20welded%201...

Re: i did it just for the prestige.

Fantastic, new/refurbed wheels make all the difference to a cars appearance especially with the new tyres, the only downside is it will take longer to park for fear of scuffing them.

I would personally avoid polybushes on anything other than a dedicated track slag. Bonded polybushes designed to work as per OEM have a flaky history... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1lijSat7Xs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJZYTKINfZs http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53632 "Tw...

Re: Honda Acura Legend forum recommendations

the only thing id be worried about slightly is the fact that a really really thick front arb is going to promote understeer a lot more on the 800, jim i don't know if you've even considered it, but I've looked at the front wing braces which are popular with honda stuff etc, have a look on eBay if n...

Re: Honda Acura Legend forum recommendations

I am trying to find one, I could be wrong, the shape is good though, when I do I will confirm but seems they are more rare than 800's these days.

Re: 1994 BRG Vitesse Fastback

Nice work on the shock turrets! :D Of course to truly recreate the Tony Pond view, you'd have to hoof your car round the TT circuit - or drive round at normal speed with the video set to record at say 1/3 normal speed so when it's played back it looks like you're doing 150mph round it! I wonder if ...

Re: Re: 1994 BRG Vitesse Fastback

Little update, its been slow over Christmas and new year but getting a few more bits together to replace the rear shock turrets so the coilover shocks can be fitted. 4.5" steel tubing, wide enough for the shock and spring. https://bluengreen.net/Rover%20Vitesse%20rear%20turret%205b%201100px.jpg Plan...

Re: Honda Acura Legend forum recommendations

Thanks for that, it does seem a bit quiet on the Legend front but I will have a look at the link above. I went into a Honda dealership today and they kindly printed off the front and rear suspension exploded pictures from their parts list for a 1988 Legend saloon, as I am sure you know it is identic...
