He wants an 827 Vitesse like the one he just bought and sold ? not the 820 Vitesse.
I don't get it ?

Re: My late fathers 800 sei for sale
Emailing the seller might not be as responsive as you are. As for being sufficiently interested ? I'm interested in every single 800 that turns up for sale, but like I said 99% is location. I won a lovely 827 for a quid a few years back but never bothered to even look at the location beforehand. Thi...

Re: My late fathers 800 sei for sale
Would be nice to know the street so perhaps a journey could be planned for anyone seriously interested.
location is 99% of the incentive to buy in my opinion.
A street in Birmingham would potentially be pretty big so its not as if we know where he lives.

Re: why did brad sell all his 800s
The differnce nowadays is that you may be able to get one for the two chickens and a turnip but it won't go through the MOT like they did when I was buying them for the same money.
£150 for an MOt'd and taxed Mk1 Sterling was common place five or ten years ago.
You try getting one now for that.

Re: master cylinder resevoir seals
The 800 has the same master regardless of ABS so a seal kit will fit all. Well it did on all the ones I had anything to do with. I did find however find that there are two different types of slave cylinder for the 827 but that is down to the bore size on the union and nothing else. don't know why th...

Re: 825 Sterling
Its how long that job lasts is what I'm thinking. £97 for gaskets and bolts and that is it ? Did you not even get the heads checked ? I hope it does last and for that cost just trying would be enough amusement for me as the hours don't really count when you enjoy the result. I'd say you saved it by ...

Re: rover 820 vitesse coupe btakes
lets straighten this one up. You cannot get tax if you have no MOT or Insurance whether now or before when tax had to be displayed. You can drive to an MOT station provided its booked without having tax but obviously insurance needs to be on the car and you also. The bastards can take your car legal...

Is this going to be one of those which oil is the best to use type arguement  If it is then I used common all garden grease on everything barring the plastic gear selector ball joint, which i used white grease. You can use grease on rubber as long as its graded for oil which I would think that...

Re: CAR iNSURANCE Recommendations/tips or advice
Try RH insurance is your best bet I think. I insured my Vitesse Sport with these guys at the time. Its a classic car policy which asks for no no claims and obviously does not give no claims either. The only stipulation is that you already have another vehicle insured elsewhere as you usual transport.

bulkheads are all the same barring one or two additions and omissions of the stud and captive nut variety but the shape is unchanged regarding 1996 onwards.
one other is right here., I'd get another and use the one you have for spares.
