..as rare as hens teeth..

However a 620 aerial is almost identical and can be made to fit with a minimum of fettling and is externally identical. Scrapyards seem full of 620's at the mo.

just to close this one - I got a replacement unit from another 94 827 twin air bag. Disconnected battery, keys NOT in the ignition. Fitted it, hooked up the battery and all is perfect again. Good result. :-)

Hi Richard
first 18 years were in Leeds - then moved around a bit.
4 years at Lancaster getting my engineering degree
10 years in sunny Manchester before doing the "escape to the country"
to our derelict money-pit farmhouse. All finished and restored now after a very long haul.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies. There were several variations, so its probably important that the part numbers match exactly.. Its an appalling design flaw that reconnecting the battery with the keys in the ignition is all it takes to send the unit into a permanent error state. Back in the days when there w...

SRS Controller

Hello I have the problem with the SRS light staying on - my own fault because I reconnected the battery with keys in the ignition. Very annoying. Anyway, wonder if someone has a replacement (working!) unit? Its a 94 827 Coupe automatic, and the SRS unit has this number moulded into the top: YWC10151...

Hi from sleepy Shropshire

Hi all, Tim here My first Rover was a D plate 820E saloon, as a brand new company car. I had that for 80k/2years and followed it with an F plate 820i Fastback - also driven for 80k/2years. A long gap occurred till I got my gold Sterling saloon, with LPG. I kept that for 15months and put 30k miles on...
