Re: Heater Blower fan resistor

Mogtypus was selling one on ebay recently and did not sell so presumably will still have it awaiting relist at some point. Maybe worth a cold call email via ebay.

Re: Mk1 827 Si Saloon

Cant remember who's theory this was but it is documented on here somewhere. if you take the opposing front wing to the rear arch then the profiles match.

Not tried this myself but remember VTB telling me about it a long time ago and was confident it works.

Re: POL 2017 - Photo Thread

Yes mark it is Longbridge factory or what is left of it now in the Background, and yes right again on 800's being made at Cowley along with 600 and 75, Montego and Maestro and if we can mention SD1 on here that one as well I like to think that Gentlemen's cars were made at Cowley and the Ladies at L...

Re: POL 2017 - Photo Thread

A little something to add to Dusan's excellent photo's and show what you others missed out on. Get your cars ready and out for Gaydon and make the 800 the car to be seen in.

Re: POL 2017 - Photo Thread

Great photos Dusan, and yes your right a good number of cars for this annual event. I do think it needs a freshen up by the organisers, but always good to get the car out and meet new people. Thanks for taking the photos and sharing them on here for all to see.

Re: Mk1 827 Si Saloon

Well done on keeping going. It is soul destroying but also very satisfying once completed. You were right to stop for a brew as many battle plans and campaigns were drawn up over a brew and insurmountable odds measured up and beaten. Keep going to the end and then bring her back to POL next year all...

Re: Mk1 827 Si Saloon

Top tip if you need to drive it after masking is use thick cling film to mask the lights units if they're not being removed for painting, it can be easily peeled after and masks well. Just an aside to Dave's good tip for lights, DO NOT use cling film or similar to mask any areas of body work not be...

Agree with Simon post, I just wish I could remember the camera when I decide to go out and do repairs and have the confidence and welding skills to undertake such a task.

Great job, hope to see you again at POL if your going.

Re: MK1 Vitesse (patricks old vitesse)

Well.... at a 2000 quid starting bid I dont think the new potential buyer is likely to thrash it around like a 500 quid banger I've seen people thrashing around 10K ford focuses, 40K Porsches so 2k isn't a game stopper to someone who has the money that just want's to dabble in the past and thinks i...

MK1 Vitesse (patricks old vitesse)

Well looks like trevboy has decided to let this great example of a mk1 vitesse go out into the mad world of ebay. :( Great shame that a true 800 enthusiast didn't get it from Patrick in the first place because who knows where this car could end up, in the wrong hands thrashed and trashed and end up ...
