I've not had any reply from the seller as yet, although I've just clicked on the ad again, and in large letters at the top are the words "VEHICLE NOW SOLD- THANKYOU FOR YOUR INTEREST".......... that was not on the advert when I sent him my email. Maybe I've scared him off by threatening to report th...

I'm not happy about this, he's taking the p*ss now.

I've sent him a strongly worded email via the C&C advert.

It didn't sell.

Ended at £360, reserve not met. I'm pleased it didn't, but it will be interesting to see if he re-lists it.

If not, I wonder what he'll do with it?

Answers on a postcard please..............

I understand it was done by changing the info via the ECU in re-mapping it as these engine`s were de tuned for the Rover and Honda Legend in the UK market, the previous owner but one use to be a mechanic for the Met Police and use to tune these engines up for Police use when their used the 827`s, w...

Nice, but it's not a Rover 800 Phil, no it's not a Rover 800, and as much as I loved every minute of ownership of the Sterling, the Mercedes is something far better than the 800 could ever aspire to be. The Merc is built better, for starters. The ride is quieter and smoother, but then I suppose we ...

Dan's Other Mercedes.

This is what I drive for a living. It's a 2006 Mercedes Benz Actros Megaspace cab, with a 500bhp V8 turbo diesel, 16 speed fully automated gearbox (two pedals only) and everything you may need for life on the road: comfortable bed, fridge, climate control, etc, etc. It has a flat floor cab, ie, no e...

Dan's Mercedes C Class Estate.

Excuse the poor quality photo's, they were taken on my phone. This is the Sterlings replacement, a 1999 C Class C240 Sport auto, bought for just £2k. 82,000 miles from new, full M/B service history, and MOT til April 2010. 2.4 V6, 170bhp. Enjoy. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l127/seansdad/Sterl...

Well, I'm gobsmacked!!!! The seller IS the chap who I sold it to, and he came down and collected the car last Monday 18th, as promised. I collected him from the train station, about 20 minute drive from me, in the Sterling, and he loved it. He told me he restores old Rover P5 coupe's, and that my St...

I've Sold My Sterling..........

Some of you may have seen my car listed on ebay over the last ten days, I know Chris did, as he enquired about having it for his father, but decided against it in the end, which I do not hold against him in any way. Anyway, the listing ended yesterday with the car not reaching it's reserve price, bu...

Three-pin connector for headlamp.

I am in need of the 3 pin electrical connector that fixes to the dipped headlamp bulb on the n/s of my MK2, as mine has fried itself. I've made a temp repair to ensure I stay legal in having two working headlamps, but would like the job done properly. This is one thing I don't have in my spares box....

Well done on the pass Dusan. I passed my car test at the 2nd attempt, in August 1988, the day before my 18th Birthday, so a good drink was had by me then!! Unfortunately, I lost my licence for six months the day before my 21st Birthday, for driving with no insurance or MOT, so a hard lesson was lear...
