Re: Police TV documentary that featured a blue 827 as an unmarked car?

I have that on DVD. It was a pc called Snook and he drove a blue 827 fastback around Swinton, Greater Manchester. I can't remember the name of the show but I'll try and find the disc with it on. I knew recording lots of tv was a good idea !

Re: Front fogs

I bought two sets when they were £15. One set I fitted to Stella (including the switch panel). The wiring was already behind the bumper and the panel was simple plug'n'play. I removed the lamps from the car before she was taken by the DVLA for no tax but the switch panel I left. If I'd had more time...

Re: Front fogs

That's for one ? Is it just the lamps you need and not the switch assembly too ?

Re: Forum upgrade and new look

I quite like monochrome but it could do with a splash of Nightfire red.
Give it a couple of weeks before tweaking it as I think it will grow on a lot of people.

Re: Rare Philips CD head unit and amp

800 estate ? (but not the stupid Volvo 240 one). I've always thought the rear end of one of these would work well, similar c-pillar angle and rounded edges. I haven't got round to measuring one yet although there is an avant up the road from me. It would be a Mk2 800 though as the Mk1 is too angular...

Have to pass my level first.

Big jump after that to Brad levels.
I don't think there are enough 800s left to reach Brad levels (or possibly yours Chris, come to think of it).

Re: Silver Vitesse T855KKU

Interestingly, it has the turbo plenum and not the injection one fitted. I know they're physically identical but didn't Rover stop doing two differently marked ones and later T turbo cars just had the injection one ? On the whole it looks pretty decent and no hint of repaired dash lift either, even ...

Re: Spring is sprung

The rear calipers may not be the issue, check the guide pins as they do tend to seize in the carriers and prevent the caliper from sliding back and forth.

Re: Don't you just love progress?

I'm on BT and get 38 Mb/s with fttc. That's enough for a domestic user who doesn't download every movie ever to be released. I do have unlimited bandwidth so I'm contemplating setting up my website and hosting it from a dedicated pc in the house.

I hope someone saves it but I fear it will go the way of all the others that have gone.

How many still survive these days? Must be less than 20 by now?
I think there are only 4 currently on the road with another dozen or so SORNed.

Re: Wanted, Rear Bumper for a Rover 800 Hatchback

Good news. Also, don't get ripped off by the person fitting it. It's two bolts holding the bumper to the crash cans and 4 screws for the wheel arch covers. Then it slides off and the new one slides on. Replace the clips in the side brackets and replace the covers, screws etc and it's on. Shouldn't t...
