Re: Posting Pictures
Indeed, it's bad enough what they've done anyway but making the change with so little / no notice is really going to annoy people.

Re: Posting Pictures
Glad to see it's working OK! Thanks for your work on this James, very much appreciated certainly by me and i would think any others who post on here too! A couple of questions just to satisfy the "Inner moron" in me that barely understands image hosting, clouds and similar : 1) Do we need to set up ...

Posting Pictures
Following on from the photobucket changes which have rendered it useless to most I've integrated a new method of posting pictures using postimage.org to store them. Whenever you create or reply to a post you will see an 'Add image to post' option at the bottom like this: https://s17.postimg.org/f4kc...

Changes to the site
You've probably noticed the new look to the site......this is only temporary whilst I'm upgrading the forum software. It should be back to normal in a few days.

Re: Photo Hosting
I've got a couple of options at the moment, both will be fully integrated so you should just be able to click on the upload button when creating a post to then select the image to upload. The first method just integrates the photo hosting into the current forum software, the second is a more radical...

PM'd
Shipdham's actually not too bad for me and once the car is mobile again it won't be a problem getting it there. For an easy life I would like to get all the work done at the same time however thinking about it getting a good job done is more important.

Re: Photo Hosting
Well I'm currently trying out a few options on the development version of this site, if they work we should have photo hosting by the end of the weekend!

Re: Recommissioning the Sterling!
James - have a word with Tom/traineefarmer on here, he recently had some work done on his Coupé by an "old skool" bodywork place that repaired various panels, straightened etc others, did some other remedial work (i think) and finally painted it for him. All the reports i've heard from him are good...

Re: Photo Hosting
Hi, yep we can probably do this. I've actually left the IT game to focus on building houses so most of the other sites that shared this hosting platform have now been moved elsewhere which means there's quite a bit of space free. I'll have a look into what will integrate well with the forum software.

Re: Recommissioning the Sterling!
Yep, I'm hoping the budget it realistic. I know it's probably crazy spending that on a car that will probably be worth a fifth of what I'm spending but it was my Grandfathers car so has sentimental value.

Recommissioning the Sterling!
Well after a few years and several false starts my Sterling was finally recovered from it's long term hidey hole to the garage to start the long process of getting her back on the road! It's been far too long so I'm really looking forward to getting behind the wheel again. Plan at the moment is to g...

Do you happen to have a scuttle panel, door seals or a complete exhaust for a mk1?

Re: My Car History
Pretty sure, it was originally a 1.3 but sadly that engine met with an untimely demise so it ended up being downgraded to a 1.1.........because less power is really what it needed!CHR15E wrote:Are you sure your 205 was an XS?
