I haven't any pics of them but the ones on my MK1 820i are the soft crinkly type to match the bespoke seats (and they're black too !)

That little red circluar light around the ignition barrel on old shape 200/400s is great, I can't remember if it's on the 800. It is on the 800 as are "stay on" headlights, good if you don't have good lighting when you want to find your house keys. Another nice touch (which Renault made a big deal ...

I used to see a K reg Mk1 Vitesse at work with the TWR kit fitted. The only problem was that the guy had really let it go and I wept every time I saw it. The suspension was knackered, the kit was hanging off, rust patches all over the place and he never, ever washed it. Also, he left a trail of blue...

My Mk1 820i has manual mirrors and sunroof and just front electric windows and as you say no wood trim on the doors even though the Mk2 does. The mirror casings are matt black plastic rather than colour coded. She does make up for it by having the 16" prestige wheels, posh (soft) leather seats and T...

THat has been rectified as has the bumper grille now black again. I got a couple of foglight kits from Rimmers when they were having a clear out (£15 per set including switch plate). I am also fitting leather seats form a Stirling (the rears are in, just need to figure out how to wire in the fronts...

The ripple is more severe than that as the "Fablon" has become a little brittle and a hole has appeared so it needs doing again properly. It's funny how the nearside is still ok and that's the side which faces south when the car is parked on the road. I did it with my white Mk1 and also did the rear...

Yep, sticky black plastic in case I wanted to change back. It does make the car appear longer than normal too. One side has rippled slightly so needs doing again.

Just bought a Meguiars Clay Bar pack from Halfords and took "Ruby" to a nice, gentle jetwash in prep for the claying this evening. I already have some very nice Meguiars polish so she should look "Tickety Boo" (see what I did there ?) tomorrow. She's already my desktop pin-up girl (I don't think Ste...

Hello. I'm BlueRover also on RT and RG

I joined last September but this is my first post (be gentle) I've had BL cars from way back after starting out with two Hillman Hunters (a 1976 1725DL and a 1974, T-reg'd GLS). Two Itals, two Montegoes and I finally got my first 800. It was my Dad's company car for a while (bought from ex BAe exec)...
