Re: New Member (with lots of cheek)
Derek, I had a couple of Montegos years back and neither had power steering so I know about heavy. that being said, a few years back my auxiliary drivebelt on my white 800 snapped so I had to drive with no alternator or power steering. Boy, was that hard work especially when I got home and had to tu...

Re: New Member (with lots of cheek)
Hi, welcome to the forum. The T series power steering and water pump assembly is one unit as you probably know. If you're not using the power steering and you opt for an electrc water pump then you're laughing. If you like the idea of power steering (how you'd do that on your intended "victim" would...

Re: 1999 825 Si In White Gold BREAKING FOR SPARES.
Are the front rear subframes the same on all 800s ? Mine is a little flaky and the MOT guy said last year he wasn't going to start knocking it about to see if it's on it's way out. This year, the car will need some sill work and I was considering getting them to put a good, second hand one on and ha...

Re: why did brad sell all his 800s
I too remember him mentioning his health. I suppose we all change things due to circumstances in our lives. At least the knowledge is still there though.
I've always had the intention of dropping by to see him if I ever get to Worcestershire.
I think Mal keeps in touch with him.

Re: Rover 800 late - Lowering Springs for Sale
The 800 is level on normal springs, it's just the larger gap in the front wheel arch which gives the impression of nose-up. These springs will supposedly even the gap so each wheel fills the arch in the same way, it will thusly make the car nose-down (which isn't a bad thing in most cases).

Re: Autoshite: F Plate 820i £200
I had an E reg 820SE fastback ( E335MDU I think the reg was, I still have the V5 somewhere and a set of keys ) for a few months and that was an SPi. 15bhp less than the MPi wasn't that much. I bought it as a stop gap for £100 with a few months MOT. The evening before I picked up a 1992 Si to replace...

Re: What's new?
An official Rover 800 owners club has formed and a few new members too, perhaps as a result of more publicity from that. Many are from overseas too which is encouraging.
Pretty much everything else is as it was and although it seems a little quieter I think things are quite ok.

Re: Rover 800 fastback MK2 model
Is it worth me buying a decent 3D printer and making them ? I suppose once the printer is bought then I could create any Rover/MG model ever made.
