Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

I have to tow a trailer sometimes, and not wanting to spoil the look of the coupe searched for a genuine towbar kit, I was fortunate enough to find one last year and a few weeks ago came across a brand new set of Rover electrics (so no cutting into the wiring). The 13pin trailer plug has a Rover bad...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Thanks for the advice Dave. I guess at the very least the inside of the two front tyres are bruised, so will have them both checked along with ballancing and alignment and a check of any other componants that might have taken damage. Unfortunately I only have four rims so if one or both turn out to ...

Pot hole!

Hit a huge pothole last night at around 60mph - Never heard such an almighty bang. The car now has a heavy vibration right through above 30 mph - and I mean heavy, its not through the steering so I am hoping its only bent the rear rim and not damaged anything else, but its not like anything I have f...

Rover Diesel Fastback in British Racing Green R613 KKX

Not sure about anyone else, but for me this is the most desirable Rover 800, having owned a BRG Diesel Fastback for some years myself. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-ROVER-825-SD-SILVER-/131630807180?hash=item1ea5ceb88c:g:0doAAOSwYHxWIqtJ I pray this does not get bought to be broken! Re: My new vitesse

That is indeed a superb looking car. I have wanted a Vitesse for years, but one should know their weaknesses and so the only turbo I will own is bolted onto a diesel lump. Its not been easy to resist though and more than once I have almost given in...but I know it will be impossibe for me to keep a ...

Re: A Club is born

I hope in time the confusion will eventually clear up and the Rover 800 Owners Club will be seen as a way of re-enforcing what the rover800.info community has already been doing well for years and should continue to do. We all know its hard to motivate members here to get involved with any other act...

Re: My 800's + other Rovers.

I dont think its the age of the rubber - this has been going on since the 90s and no ammount of 'logic' is ever going to convince me to change pads on an 800 again without releasing fluid pressure. I may order a set of seals as the rest of the cylinder will be perfectly fine and I can keep it as a s...

Re: My 800's + other Rovers.

First of all - sorry I posted the above in the wrong thread - i thought I was in my own one :/ Is there any way to move this to the diesel coupe thread? Secondly, I know exactly what I will find - the seal will have blown out allowing the fluid to drain, my theory is by not releasing the fluid the s...
