brian check between the bulkhead and engine to see if there is a large valve it has an inlet and outlet pipe plus a vacuum pipe it is an afterthought that rover put on the help with hgf. Anyway check the vacuum pipe has not come off or split the valve can restrict the flow going into the heater matr...

I would suggest engine temperature sender. Have had this on a Mk1 M series where eng temp gauge stayed low due to no info from faulty sender, and this also had the effect of not allowing the heater to come on. Hopefully someone will be able to say if this is talking through my hat, relating it to a...

sounds daft I know but pug engines are really choosy it has to be a certain plug bosch and the coilpack has to be oe there was also I think a suppresser fitted to stop interference and misfire
also check the wires going to the injectors if you run it then wiggle the wires see if you get any changes

I would have said coil pack but you have changed that so pull the plug on the ecu and check the pins for corrosion also what new plugs did you put in hope this helps
