Re: RollHard Bicester 4th August
At least the Norton hadn't been lowered so much that it looked like something from a circus

Re: 800 Owners Club
This whole business with owners clubs is unsatisfactory and unhelpful to the owners themselves. It reminds me a bit of the Ford Granda owners clubs schisms which have lead to multiple splinter clubs being set up, some of them seemingly tiny and cliquey . If the original 800 club has embraced the Leg...

Re: Another car on the drive
Back to the Jeep - it's worth remembering that the front ARB can make a big difference to how the rear behaves. The well regarded Ron Hopkinson MGB handling kit added a rear ARB (one was fitted as standard on the coil-sprung front end but not the leaf-sprung live rear axle) and it transformed the ca...

Re: Mk2 interior
I've wondered for a long time how good a domestic 3D printer will be for car parts etc, do they have the size capabilities to make something big, are they able to print the item quick enough to make it durable and several other questions. Size obviously affects price but a mate of mine out here in ...

Re: Lancaster insurance
They are generally well regard and backed by the MG Owner's Club. I use them for my MGC, very good on price.
Re: Jeep talk
Not as bad as it could have been - but still more than I paid for my daughter's immaculate, low mileage 2002 Rover 25 (175 quid) :) The engine bay looks like new and the underneath is almost as good https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7814/46565464005_6277f055b0_k.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7800/...
Re: Jeep talk
I never did anything special on the WJ. I bought it with a 2" lift already fitted (spacers) and practically every rubber bush totally shot. New bushes, mostly poly bushes, helped.
ARB bushes and drop links always seem to be Jeep weak spots

Re: Jeep talk
A lot depends upon the type pf transfer box fitted. XJ had a NP231 - selectable 2wd/4wd with 4wd only usable off road. Later models may have had the NP249 (see below) Many lower spec ZJs will have been fitted with with NP242 (selectable 2wd/4wd which also includes a "full time" 4wd option for road u...

Re: Spray paint
Do you have any local automotive paint suppliers? There's 2 local to me and they would mix it there and then to match the code. I believe there's some online ones but I have no experience of any to recommend. The grey is called storm grey from memory. For the black I always used satin black. As Chr...
