Re: Which Motor To Buy?

I was in this spot a few years back and wondered what I would get when the time came to move my 75 cdti tourer on. I had done the Rover rounds too P6B, '89 820si fastback, '94 820i fastback, '98 825 sd fastback, a short time with a 620, '98 820 coupe and finally the 75. I looked at Jags...honestly c...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Its proving difficult to extract a refund from Autodoc. They keep sending emails asking us to confim this or that. Telephoned them yesterday again and the guy said it might be another 8 days. I told him to do the refund straight away and he said hopefully the money will be back in our account in 3 w...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

For the slave cylinder, I am still running on the one with the Land Rover seals in - its been over a year and still fine. I do have a new one in the boot just in case though :)

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Looks like you were right Dave. Its now two weeks since the initial order and just received this from http://www.autodoc.co.uk: "The Shock Absorbers MM-00456 JAPANPARTS and MM-00457 JAPANPARTS you have ordered will be available within 3 weeks. In case it is too long for you to wait , please, provide...

Re: The coupe. Did Rover have future plans?

I did consider the Volvo option when ditching the evil Prestige rims (which I hate cleaning)....The volvo's look very OEM which is important, but I have a thing for five spokes after fitting a set of Roversports to my old BRG fastback. However I would take them off for a good set of BBS rims.

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

So far its not going so smooth with ththe shock absorber order from autodoc.co.uk. They sent me an email saying the parts were out of stock and suggest equivelents 4 times the price or the option to wait another 48 hours for stocks to arrive. I emailed back confiming I would be prepared to wait. Hav...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

That makes sense - i was quoted £160 for a set of rears by a local motor factor. The JapanParts are on offer for under £30 each for gas, a little cheaper for twin tube. Monroe only £24 each, but they are oil which I think is what is on the car now. Have a look on:

Re: The coupe. Did Rover have future plans?

Having owned a convertible car some years ago I have always missed the ability to roll back the roof - particularly on a summers evening. As a result I have often wondered what a coupe would be like as a convertible, but i have come to the conclusion it would not work. Removing the roof would destro...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

£300 is quite steep for a pair of rears. I have found quite a lot of different types; Oil, Twin Tube and Gas from a number of suppliers, however none of these give specifications (but then again I have no idea of the original specs anyway to compare) I am taking educated guesses on ordering by cross...
