I joined last September but this is my first post (be gentle)

I've had BL cars from way back after starting out with two Hillman Hunters (a 1976 1725DL and a 1974, T-reg'd GLS).
Two Itals, two Montegoes and I finally got my first 800. It was my Dad's company car for a while (bought from ex BAe exec) until he retired when I bought it from him. I still have it on my drive but apart from it being stood for nearly 9 years the bodywork is immaculate. I intend to rebuild the engine at sometime in the future (I already have some brand new pistons for her and other bits). She is white with the extra special leather interior, TWR kit and 16" pepperpot alloys.
My current cars are a 1996 820i (poverty spec with only front electric windows and no sunroof and needs a new rear hub and ABS sensor) and a 1991 Nightfire Red Tickford fastback which I got from a fellow RG'er on Saturday.

I notice you live in Bolton, I have been going to uni there for 3 years and never seen an 800! I recently got mine back on the road so we will have to keep an eye out for each other.

Maybe you have seen me around....?

Your 820i sounds like the 1990/1 "special edition" with the squashy black leather seats. A rare car. The 16" wheels were unique to this car and not offered on any other cars as standard, as an option or as an accessory. I reckon only a handful were made. Not sure how many but I'd guess no more than a couple of hundred.
