And if you have problems with emissions, just turn it around and try again

I'll pop past his in the next couple of weeks.

It was an art project, and not initially intended for road use, so not made as such.~

Very well made though.

Hi everyone, hope you are having great summer, before its getting wet.
rovercoup wrote:does anyone know what happened to this? did it ever get an mot and make it onto the road or did it remain as an art piece? and where is it now?
Sorry for the late reply, somehow I only have time in summer to do proper job while my families are away so it very slow progress.
The car is still sitting in my garage under roof so it is still alive!

Weird man !
Why I'm sure with a tow board and a booking for an MOT you can legally take half of it onto the road 8)
Yeah, I'm wondering where that is too ? :?
Thanks for your compliment
The car is in Mitcham, South London.

Having spare on board is always useful for older car isn't it

Hi Phil thanks, hope things are well?
Are you coming to the Rally this Sunday?

Progress since last post is, replaced cracked front window with 3rd party screen.
Unfortunately upper shade tint is not available so went without it but now I have bought a film that has gradation shade in curvy shape specifically for front wind screen to mimic the shade.
I will try applying it shortly.

Thanks to Phil's advice, I have fixed starting issue - it was Igniter unit and got good ones from MikeMedford. Thanks for the help guys!

At the moment I am (still) working on cluster swap. From 6 dial to 4 dial.
Phil, do you happen to remember the name of a person who knows the inside out of the wiring adaptation?
You mentioned his name but I have misplaced the memo somewhere...

AND I notice that the big thing is on this Sunday isn't it.
Unfortunately I can't take this car with me yet but I am planning to come to admire other 800s.

He he, that's terrific,

here's a 75 that does the rounds at the car shows and POL, he adapted the 'headlights of the 'rear end' to contain 'rear' lights MOT'd and roadworthy.

Now that's a thought - some red stop/tail LEDs inside the headlight unit.

If I had the facilities I'd be more interested in producing a 75 Coupé.

Given the fact the front end (head) of a coupe is generally the same as the saloon version, wouldn't that just be another two-headed 75?

Do like the idea of a 75 coupe though although my pet project (with the time, money, facilities etc) would be a Rover 627 or 835 using the various later/alternative Honda bits to make the Rover version.
Cheers,
Dave

I have been working on instrument cluster swap from 6 dials to 4 dials on the Si side. It is 1988 model and it came with 6 dials and other side 1989 Vitesse came with 4 dials hence the complication!
Si 6 dial and Vt 4 dial

Luckily I managed to find the same 4 dials made in the same month/year as the Vitesse and have started to find out how to manage the wiring.
Here is the pic of connectors I need to convert. These are the looms on the each body and I need to convert the Si looms into the ones with Vitesse connector.
Gee I don't haven't got a clue!
