That's just trim at the top of the screen. The screen is bonded in so if it's leaking, you'll either need to have it removed and refitted or have it removed, inspect the metalwork underneath, repair as needed and then refit the screen.

Alternatively you could try running some black RTV Silicone sealant round the entire windscreen as there will be a slight gap between the screen and the body - run the RTV into this gap. Worth checking the metalwork to see if it is rotten though or it will leak again.
Cheers,
Dave

You're welcome Tracy - just to be sure, have you checked the sunroof drains - all 4 of them? The "down hose" shrinks not only in diameter where it fits into the rubber "valve" but also in length so it pulls out of the valve (the rubber elbow that goes through to the outside world hidden by the front wings and the rear bumpers) and dribbles water into the footwells and/or boot area. Usually the first sign of the rear ones leaking are wet front carpets - as you brake, the water runs out of the boot area and fills up under the rear cushion. This then overflows and runs forward when you brake.

It's rare (but not impossible) that the windscreen leaks where it's bonded on but usually it's the sunroof drains. Many Hondas to this day suffer the same problem as they still use the same valve/elbow and if anyone needs interior light switches from the door pillars, many Hondas use them as well, at least up to 2000, sometimes after. :D
Cheers,
Dave

UPDATE
Well have sterling back full MOT and new wings fitted exhaust pipe fitted. Only a mere £1.324.90 better than we were expecting with a lot of welding needing doing.

Next for sterling is rub down rust spots on body and treat with kuruast and paint.

Thanks for all your advice fellows don't know how I would have done it without you guys.

Saved it (again) lives on for another year.
Thanks
Tracy

Great news Tracy, congrats on the MoT pass! Bit painful in the £££ area but a lot of work done that won't need doing again for a long time so amortise that over however many years and it's not so bad! Overall a small price to pay for keeping a car you're obviously so fond of! :D
