Re: Wheel nuts wanted
Find a 1998-2002 Volvo S/V40 (with the 4-stud wheels although the 5-stud nuts are the same) in a scrapyard and deprive it of its wheel nuts. If you get the right ones with the chrome finish they should polish up nicely with some Solvol Autosol and fit perfectly.
The wheels will also fit as long as you also use a 67.1-64.1mm aluminium spigot ring.
As you can see! ^^^^^
If all else fails, about £15/set of 16 on fleabay/Amazon for a set of M12x1.5 wheel nuts to suit Volvo, Rover and countless other cars on the planet!

Re: Wheel nuts wanted
Thanks, they're known as "Telesto" in Volvo V/S40 circles. I keep hoping someone with a Vitesse Coupe will find a set of these and fit them, i think they'd look awesome on a Vitty Coupe!

I fitted a set of "Crater" alloys from a V/S40 on my Coupe, 16x7J and looked similar to the later MG Zx wheels but were in fact different :
The TRS nuts (i'm guessing that's the brand you went with) sometimes go a bit flaky a few months down the line, i usually buy a cheap set of 19mm plastic chrome nut covers to keep them looking good.
However i have a plan for floating centres with the "skeleton" longboat in the middle of each, a bit like the R-R on the Phantom so i'm not bothered about the nuts just yet.

Re: Wheel nuts wanted
As long as they are the 60 degree versions Robert they should be fine.
You're right though, the 800 takes some beating as a car, even now. Most people forget how good they were and IMHO have always been. Also i find them better built and use more logic and overall better equipment levels than the 75 that replaced both the 800 and the 600, itself an excellent car.
The 800 was the best selling executive car of the 1990s, trouncing the BMW 5-Series, meanwhile the 600 was outselling the 3-Series by 10:1 and its "sister" model, the 5th gen Honda Accord (built on the same lines at Swindon) was also outselling the 3-Series by 3:1 - is it any wonder BMW wanted rid of the competition?
It's enthusiasts like us that the job of preserving, restoring and keeping the memory alive that the 800 falls to now - long may that continue!

Re: Wheel nuts wanted
Only reason for me stopping using it was I needed an estate for the dog

I can relate to that, it's why i have the Volvo and with them both being viewed as classics, both are insured on classic policies. Makes it cheaper that way than having one car for everything.
