Have you tried Dale Charles aka https://www.sterlingfixer.com/

Very few Mk1s exist in the UK now and even fewer fuel/trip computers. As you probably already know, the trip computer was only fitted to the top of the range models (Sterling in UK, i believe SLi stateside) and then only in the Mk1 version (1986-91), never fitted from the factory in the Mk2 that we had here from 92-98 although some owners retro-fitted them. To make them even harder to find, i think it was only 1988 MY they were fitted to as well.

Good luck in your search and keep us posted! :D

PS i had a quick look on fleabay but nothing came up. What is the fault with yours?
Cheers,
Dave

Thanks Dave for your response and help! Yes, my current trip computer has started to delaminate. Dale didn’t have one so still on the hunt

You're welcome Jason, as i understand it the delamination and "bleeding" of the LCD is an age-related thing so even if you found another, you may be no better off.
I was trawling YouTube for other things recently and i've noticed a lot of people are retrofitting newer "generic" fuel computers to other cars (eg Jaguar) for a similar reason. That might be a possibility if all else fails?

Wouldn't you just know it! The other night when i didn't want to find anything about Fuel/trip computers, that's all YT was showing me - now after putting in "Jaguar fuel computer" (most results were showing Jag models) not one single solitary result came up! I even tried "retrofit trip computer" but again, nothing helpful.

Might give you an idea to work with though! :D
Cheers,
Dave

Each to their own but i prefer the auto especially as the auto is a thinly disguised manual box with electronically controlled hydraulic gear selection - clutch packs replace the synchro hubs so it can change faster than a human can shift a manual and the torque converter locks up from 30mph upwards. What's not to like! :P  :D
