Early Mark 2 (non airbag dash) dash wood

I have saved and safeguarded a lot of this, all very good to excellent. I think I have around 12 such pieces. All for Mark 2 cars, NOT Mark 1.

Those first 1991/2/3 cars tended to have a darker richer deeper wood that went milky and looked pretty awful quite quickly - we've all seen that. What I have is new or virtually as new wood.

I shall unwrap and photograph if anyone is seriously interested.

I would like a couple if they were going to be thrown away please Brad. I know they won't go in any of my current cars but then the future is not here yet.

I wouldn't throw these out. These are irreplaceable. I have sent one to Japan today, out of interest.

I think I'll unwrap them all and photograph them all. The wood on each one is unique such us the nature of wood.

These are now available to buy. I have unwrapped them and they are all excellent to perfect/as new. Most have never seen daylight!

Shame these aren't for a mk1 as mine are very milky and always have been, out of interest what it the difference between the mk2 - non-airbag dash and the mk1c?

The Mark 1c dash is the same as the Mark 2 dash. So these will fit your car.

Here is Number 1 - only ever trial fitted and has a teeny mark which doesn't photograph easily. All clips present.









Here is Number 2 - very glossy, slightly darker wood. Two clips missing off the rear. Excellent condition. From a very early J reg Sterling Mark 2.






Number 3...all clips intact and from a 1993 Sterling with the darker wood.






Number 4. Again, all clips intact. From a 1994 car with darker wood. This has some teeny blemishes as it is used. Nothing to be upset about, though as it still looks great. Most importantly, no scratches, cracks or milkiness.






Number 5. One clip missing. This is my favourite. Not quite as dark and shows a lot of interesting grain.

Let's call this next one, number 6. It's from a 1990/1 Mark 1 Rover 820 Turbo (Tickford) but will fit all Mark 1C models and all non airbag Mark 2 cars. It is unmarked and very very nice. All the fixings on this one are present and solid.
