I expect Mark will be along at some point to correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure he said he'd had another batch of sills made Ian so you should be in luck. :D

Look who's come along :D

Yep, new batch available, £75 delivered per pair (slightly cheaper for two pairs), which hopefully people don't think is expensive. Again, these are not for the coupes but will fit MK1 and MK2 versions. I am not getting notifications from the site regarding PMs, so please bear with me if some my replies seem a little slow, but I am trying to check back a couple of times a week.

Russ got his pair recently from the new batch and he is happy (thanks for the feedback Russ).

Ian, PM sent.

Thought you might! :D

Email notifications haven't worked for several months now since the site did an update - i PM'd James at the time and he seemed to think it would all sort itself out once the site had settled down but obviously not. I just check at least once a day (most days anyway!)
Cheers,
Dave

Thanks everyone, have pm'd Mark and looking forward to recieving sills asap to get this car through its mot.
It is one of my old 827's that I sold to a 78 year old german retired doctor a few years ago and he always brings it to me every 2 years for its mot, sadly the old sills are now beyond repair.

Every 2 years for MoT??? Do you only have to have your cars MoT'd every 2 years in Germany then?
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Mark,

I don't suppose you'd be able to have a batch of rear wheel arch sections made would you? When these rust near the sill they cause MoT failure and without new metal (parts NLA) a proper long trem repair seems nigh on impossible...

The problem with manufacturing arch sections over sills is they have compound curves, which are very difficult to fabricate without custom tooling to form the correct shape.

An experienced panel beater would be able to hand form a repair if you can find one happy to work with metal rather than isopon.

Hmm I see what you mean, Tom. Still, if you don't ask you don't get.

Hope the other Mark sees this before too long, I understand there might be a problem with PM's?

Sorry took so long in replying Mark but went into hospital and then on holiday. The sills fitted like a glove and the car has passed its mot. Thanks again for the first rate communication and fast dispatch to Germany, they arrived within 3 days.

If your looking for sills then look no further guys.

Regards
Ian

Thanks for the feedback, Ian. Glad it's all sorted.

Regarding the rear wheel arch sections, I will ask the question but like everyone else appears to be, very time poor right now. This going to be probably next year before I can dedicate the time and energy to chasing this one up but the firm I use are good and who knows? It would be useful though in the meantime to get an idea of demand. Please let me know if they are something that you need/will be needing and lets see if it's worth it.

Cheers
