1991 MK1C 827 Vitesse For Sale NOW SOLD

Due to unfortunate circumstances I am selling my MK1C 827 Vitesse. Its a nicely unmolested example which has been maintained very well and is a current daily driver. It drives beautifully and during my ownership and previous owners (known on here) has had a lot of work carried out. It needs a subframe replacing which due to illness I cannot do myself, I have a good replacement subframe to be sold with the car though. I shall list below the recent works carried out.

Semi synth oil and filter change
New spark plugs
New HT leads
New distributor cap and rotor arm
New air filter
ATF replaced with CORRECT oil
Front wheel bearings replaced
Bottom ball joints replaced
Recent S/H radiator
Recent CV Joints
Recent front ABS Sensors
Recent speedo pickup
New front and rear brake pads
Recent ARB drop links
Both Lambda sensors replaced
Recent S/H alternator
The cambelt, tensioner and water pump have been replaced along with all of the auxiliary belts a while back too

It is on the original Vitesse Dogleg alloys which have Dunlop Winter tyres fitted, one wheel centrecap has gone missing though. It has a Japspeed back box which gives a lovely exhaust note and frees up the midrange considerably. It has a grey leather Mk2 Sterling interior with full electrics and memory including door cards. Rooflining has been replaced with grey leatherette and looks very nice and doesn't sag. It has a working but temperamental slimline trip computer. All dash instruments work. Drivers door switchback working perfectly. C/L and immobiliser works but I have no fob so its the old fashioned turn the key approach. All door handles work as intended. Air con needs a regas but is R12. Filler neck is in good condition with no leaks.

Bodywork is not perfect but a cut and mop would do wonders, there are some rusty bits though. Sunroof aperture is quite rusty, there is a bad spot of lacquer on the roof just behind the sunroof. Rear arch has been repaired prior to my ownership but I will include a replacement in the sale. I have always kept the body well polished and built that up going towards the winter months. There are little car park dings here and there but they don't leap out at you. There is some rust to the rear of the sills under the Vitesse side pods. This was picked up on the last MOT as advisories, it currently has just over 9months MOT.

This is a well looked after car which can be enjoyed straight away, the subframe replacement can be carried out by someone competent with spanners (and with a working body) and as I mention earlier a good replacement will be included in the sale.

I am located in North Hertfordshire. I have not advertised this on ebay yet as I would like it to go to a caring new enthusiast owner but if there is no interest I will reluctantly offer it on the crayon-muncher bay

Yes that's my old P6, that will probably have to go in the new year too. Manuals do me no good these days

I can only add that this is a hell of lot of car for the money.

Anyone who is even remotely interested in experiencing a well sorted and hyper-rare Mk1 827 would be mad to pass on the chance of owning this.

I sold this to Jon a couple of years ago and hugely enjoyed my time with it. Yes, it has colossal mileage, but you really would never would know from the driving experience.
The engine and box were great, the car felt fast, smooth and tight.

I have done the same job before and anyone with a reasonable skill and experience level can achieve this over a weekend with a regular tool kit, decent axle stands and a trolley jack.

If it helps anyone in the decision making process I have a 2 poster lift that is available gratis for the buyer that wants to change the subframe.
It's located outdoors off J 5 M3 or J11 M4

Go for it then Matt! Just to try and persuade you a little, the exhaust (stainless steel) back box sounds really nice - sporty but not intrusive. Like Tim says, the engine is sweet as is the box, the radiator was made in 2005 and only saw two years service before the car it came from was "pensioned off" and was still like new when it was fitted about a year ago. The ATF was changed at the same time as the old stuff lays in a trail between here and a village a couple of miles up the road!

I'm unable to do the subframe change with my back as it is and I'm also having a bit of trouble getting in and out (also back related). I will be having surgery soonish which will make me even less mobile for the foreseeable too. All the local garages here don't want to touch anything over 10 years old so I'm left with the only option to sell a perfectly good car in all other respects to somebody else who can do the job. It's heartbreaking.

That's a total SH17 TER (good number plate for someone in a year or so ) - is there nobody you know that is capable of doing it for you? Not necessarily a garage but privately i mean.

I know of a certain person not far from you who might well be interested in buying it to add to their collection. Sure you know who i mean and if that person did buy it at least it would have a good home. Meanwhile i know of someone else who might be interested, i'll make enquiries.

I had an ex rover guy lined up to do it but he had an accident at work and he's out of action for the foreseeable, I had the offer of another chap from oop north but I can't get that to work with health/homelife commitments.

I know who you mean and to be honest I would feel a lot better if it went to a new owner like them, the car deserves it. If you could make enquiries I would be vert grateful, thank you
