R Reg 820 si

Hey guys,

I'm officially giving up on fixing up the 820. So - if you want a car for scrap money, with most of the parts there to fix for the MOT - 2 calipers and 2 shocks and brake pads. I've done the welding and put an ignition barrel on it I'm open to offers, Brand new battery too.

Pewter Grey Manual. Beige leather interior. No cracking on Dash top or anything like that.

Started straight away this morning... Always does since the new battery! 2 new tyres on the front too...

Any takers? If not i'm going to have to get it towed next week.

Hi all
I am also giving up on my R reg 800.....and it really pains me after driving this "beauty" for the last 10 years.
..and sadly, also going to the "scrap yard"on Friday 28 September unless someone shouts.

Car has 126k miles - main prob is ABS light, exhaust and electric windows.....but it has a "cassette player"

)
Outside of that - has always driven like a dream.
Car is metallic silver - fastback - and we are in the Surrey/hampshire/berkshire borders.
External bodywork and interior is still in pretty "good nick"

Yeah 190 which seems pretty good. Just difficult to bring myself to do it!

That seems a good deal - I am getting 180 for mine
And tell me about it - I have been driving all over the place in the Rover to view second hand Saab's....and I keep thinking/having" big second thoughts"

One thing - what condition is the fuel filler pipe? If it's good, and you get a hiss every time you undo the filler cap for filling up, I'd take it off before scrapping the car if I were you - there are many people out there who want good ones, including myself...

Not sure it's that great on our 800 - doesnt leak or smell but it doesnt give the hiss on undoing the cap.

Mine does hiss when you open it - although no idea on the condition....and I think it will be a "fair way" for you to come from Essex to the borders of berks/hants/surrey....and you'd need to do that tomorrow as the car goes first thing Monday
