This car has been on ebay for a while but now has a price that is low for a car in this condition and deserves someone from the club or forum buying this to show and keep in this condition.

Don't knock poverty spec. Less to go wrong and my poverty spec 820i fastback had over 303,000 miles on it.
That car looks well cared for too and a jolly nice colour.

gotta love wheel trims, not quite bank manager, but typical stinginess on rovers part on there flagship model.

Manual not auto so will give better performance over the auto with improved economy and as we have seen with the Mk1's,lower spec cars will fetch decent money over time as they are generally the first models to disappear. How many Sterlings do we see pop up for sale? I would guess at least 10-1 and in this sort of condition maybe one to tuck away.

Some good points there Steve, the lower spec models will all have their day in the limelight in terms of value - witness any SD1 or P6 now fetching good money, not just the V8 models.

Not sure whether to include that 827Si Mk1 as an indication of value as halfway through the second auction it disappeared from sale so we don't know how much it went for. That said taking the first auction it got to a whisker under £10k so who knows?

Whichever way you look at it, that's certainly a nice Mk2b in exceptional condition so someone, somewhere is having a Toffee Crisp - err, will pay good money for it i mean! :P In fact, someone who has been watching the values of 800s with a view to buying one as a classic may snap it up knowing it's likely to go up in value. :wink: :D
