From a financial point of view perhaps not. However, it looks fixable and is in much better condition than many other classics. Get it for under Â£100 and it would be worth doing, if you do the work yourself.

A car like that is rare enough now for normal economics to no longer apply - it's got to the stage where classic economics kick in. "I know I'll never get my money back but I want it as a car, not an investment".

clean the sunroof drains
replace the rear seat
replace the heater blower
replace the heated rear window control unit (under the dash)
re-solder the driver's door switch pack

Easy!

I meant not worth it from an effort and time and bother point of view as there are better cars about to mess with. Money and cars have never been an issue with me or some of the other members here...it's what gets us going and the cost is often not a big issue (within reason). That's why I spent Â£2000 on a Â£225 1980 miniMetro last year to end up with it being worth possibly Â£700 or so. Idiotic, from an investing aspect.

Seriously, though, if it was 2023 and it was the last Vitesse left, I'd agree it would be worth the effort.

LOL Brad I know exactly where youre coming from re the Metro 2000 spent vs 700 value. The end result speaks for itself and is def worth it in my opinion.

I think the Vitesse looks like it could come up very nicely - I'm sure you're the man for the job!
