I watched it finish out of curiosity. Didn't bid though.

Fell a long way short of £750 then.

Not aware of upgrades. Jago's about the only person to tinker with them. He's got different manifolds and other stuff and still doesn't see 235 BHP. That's a huge increase on a NASP engine without major work IMO.

Can't see the gearbox coping with it anyway TBH.

Unless Jago had a hand in it, it's all bo****ks. Remapping, if possible, wouldn't extract much out of such a set up. And, as Chris implied, it'd be toast by now if it did.

If it is true and he has some idea of how the cars were altered why not just say he's done it?

Can he get done for trade descriptions if someone rolling roads it?

Or does the fact he says it's reported to be ..... mean he gets away with it?

I've not had any reply from the seller as yet, although I've just clicked on the ad again, and in large letters at the top are the words "VEHICLE NOW SOLD- THANKYOU FOR YOUR INTEREST".......... that was not on the advert when I sent him my email. Maybe I've scared him off by threatening to report the ad as fraudulent to C&C..........or some poor bugger is now driving my Sterling thinking he has a 235bhp rocket on his hands.....

If I receive any reply, I'll post up here..........

Not all poice car's are auto's. My mate used to have an Ex Rapid armed responce Sierra 2.0. Had the DOHC engine. Valves were enlarged, head ported, Auto box had changed ratio's, and had an LSD fitted. Had the brakes uprated to Cosworth, and the ABS removed!!

I changed the head gasket on this car, so measured the valves when rebuilding it. We also had a leak fixed on the Auto box, and found out then about the ratio's.

Best bit about him owning the car was when he got stopped on Kings Avenue in Clapham (South London) by one of the guys who used to drive it. I was speacheless when he asked my mate if he enjoyed driving it.

It is poss the engine has had a recent or past engine remap, but I doubt it.....
