Short life - date of first registration 17/5/90, date of liability 10/9/91. Must have been a test mule or something.

It did say somewhere in the article that it wasn't a production model, they were going to come with sunroofs.

The author comments on the lateness of a diesel to the XX range, suggesting this was Honda's influence on the car. What he doesn't expand upon is the fact Honda did not even have a diesel car engine suitable for the XX and in later years came to Rover to use the L Series in its Accord and Civic models.

An interesting article Chris, thank you.

They had pretty good performance figures, typically it highlighted short sightedness in taking so long to produce a diesel version.
