Yes, it is all in the bumpers, love em or hate 'em. I believe the 800 mk2 was the biggest Rover ever made (by a bumper), bigger than the P5 and the SD1. Of course, it is quite narrow thanks the Japanese restriction on width. But I don't find it claustrophobic unlike most modern cars. Mostly due to do lower waistline and bigger glass. Oh, and not having the typical, overbearing black, black, black interiors most have, including the roof liner!
If I could, I would also have a Jag or two; love the XJ-S coupe, always have even when you couldn't give them away. More realistically an X Type, 2·5 V6, estate AWD. Nearly bought one four/five years ago (£1800 for top spec) but since then prices seem to have shot up.
If you're after bumper brackets, the 'other Dave' (Dolly Sprint?) who runs the Rover 800 Club did have some for sale based on a similar design that I came up with a few years back.

I'm half-way thinking of an X-Type estate to replace the Volvo when it eventually gives up the ghost Mark. As for bumper slide brackets, i'm fairly sure i have at least 4 new ones, they (and any others) will go with the car when it sells.

Last week, I organized a Jaguar meeting in the Charente countryside
We were 22 cars the first day and 21 cars the second day
Some pictures of this meeting :

The next day we left the comic strip museum in Angoulême
We visited the Gallo-Roman theater of the Bouchaud

Thanks Mark, i've just spent 3/4 hour going over every pic to try and spot the missing XJ-S!!!
I suspect the Mini carried a few Jerry cans of petrol, just in case............
Maybe it was there to ferry the drivers from where the cars were parked to a venue for lunch or similar or perhaps a last minute substitution for the missing XJ-S?

Sure enough, there was no XJ-S at the meeting. Jaguar Passion Club is for all Jaguars and in fact we have a lot of X Type, S Type, XJ X300, XK8, XK, XF I. We have some old Jaguars like the XK140, the E-Type you may have seen, and a Mark V, a Mark VIII, a Mk1, a Mk2 (Which are from the same member*, who came this time with the Daimler XJ40) and some new Jaguar (XJ X351, XE, XF II, F Pace, F Type)
