Got any more photos of the Coupe and have you named her yet?

Got a couple more that aren't too good Simon, hopefully tomorrow i'll be getting her washed and polished so will be taking more pics but there's an album of pics here that the previous owner took for advertising it.

Not even thought of a name for her yet, previous owner suggested Rhonda - Rover/Honda from the Welsh Valleys.
Given the way she "jumped and bounced" on the trailer at one point on the way back yesterday Vimto has crossed my mind (if you've seen the ad that will make sense) although i think i can come up with something better in time.

On another note, not sure if you've seen it but there's an 825 SDturbo on fleabay at the moment, finishing in about 18 hours. Also had a look for you to see if i had any spare door handles, only got gold ones and got a feeling i've already used the drivers one, sorry!

I take this is the one you was saying about at the show?

It certainly is, yes. Although i've only driven it a short way on a private road (between the sellers house and the main road where i had to park with the trailer), it seemed quite strange driving a "standard" 827 after mine. All the silly "little" things that i've changed on mine like the blue lighting for the climate pack and switches, the colour coded gear position indicator (instead of plain red on the standard one) and some of the switches etc are in different places on the 2 cars - the fog light switches for example are on the right of the instruments on the coupe and in the place where they are on the saloon there is nothing, just wood.

With a bit of knowledge i gained yesterday, i'm amazed the Volvo did as well as it did towing it back. The coupe weighs in at 1470kg (no surprise there) as does the Volvo which has a towing limit of 1800kg as long as the speed is kept to 50mph or below but i didn't realise the trailer was a whopping 550kg making a total trailer weight of 2020kg - add on the 1470kg of the Volvo and i'm up to 3490kg. No wonder it drank fuel at an alarming rate!
Not checked the exact economy figures but approx 400 miles and it drank nearly £110 worth of high octane unleaded! Still got a couple of gallons in the tank and with the bit in there before i filled up, i reckon that's 14 gallons for the round trip. Quick calculator bashing shows that as 29 mpg roughly so not bad really - must double check the mileage for the journey and fix the charging problem today else it won't be going anywhere in a hurry!

Then i can get on with sorting the important bit, the coupe!

I've now started a separate thread for the coupe here, some more pics, a bit of background and a small list of jobs to do so far with a request for parts thrown in for good measure!
