My late model Leyland Princess 2.2 HLS auto. Finished in Champagne Beige with Paprika interior.

Cheers... Yes indeed they are Triumph Stag alloys.. I just need to find some proper wheel nutrs for then before I fit them. The overiders... I got them off ebay from a guy who was selling them... they used to be fitted to one of his Princess's from many years ago. Im not sure if they were offered by BL as an aftermarket fitment... or Halfords add on..? But they do fit neatly on the bumpers.. I also have a set for the back bumper too.
The denim Blue one was rescued by the selling dealership. It was traded in as part of the Scrappage Scheme for a KIA...! I have seen the car close up and I can confirm.. that she is a good one.

i find it hard to understand why someone would give up a nice top of the range car to buy some thing like a Kia/ Hyundai and other such vehicles i wouldn't touch with a barge pole. it often seems people would rather have a new second rate car than have a nice second hand one. I know which i would choose everytime.

My Dad hasd a couple of princesses durign my late teens - early 20s: in fact I learnt to drive partly on an Austin 1800...
Ian Elliott will tell you (Austin-Rover Pr) the Princess was off-limits at the SD1 launch due to superior rear accommodation...
If only they'd got it right earlier... 2200 Special edition and all that!!!

The Biege Princess has now been sold to make way for another one... Though its going to be one hell of a project for me to get stuck into next year....
Its a 1981 Princess 2200 HLS, 100 Club Special.... 1 of only 3 left...!
My other one is just waiting for me to finish it off... But its almost there.....
As well as the wedges.. I have been piddling about with this and going on a few runs here and there.....

It had been stood for about 15 years... under trees at a house not far from Birmingham airport. The owner I purchased it from is long standing member of the princess club and had the intention of putting it back on the road... but with a further collection of around 20-something princesses it kind of got left... like all the others that he had... Most of which have now rotted beyond repair... or already been scrapped.
It took a bit of fetling to get this one to run... most of the electrics are well correded and the carbs need rebuilding... But I have had it running and it seemed to run very sweet indeed. I didnt bother trying to drive it though... Im not that brave
Its going to need a bit of welding here and there, but its fairly solid all things considering.... and a respray.... new seats.. headlining... wheels.. tyres... windscreen rubbers... brakes... exhaust... But im in no rush.. But I hope to get started on it next year

A common story which has seen the death of many classic cars.
