I've never understood car makers when they fit 2 different exhaust systems to basically the same car depending on whether it's auto or manual. Had that on my 740 GLE and it cost me a return trip the day after having a full system fitted (it was a silly price and too cheap to refuse!) because they'd supplied part of it for a manual instead of an auto!

Silly Fik-Kwit! Or should that be silly Volvo?

Even more silly is that the backbox is different as to whether it has ABS or not.

My guess would be that the early cars never had it. Then when they introduced it found out that the backbox was in the way.

Surprised me when they asked anyway. Not a question I was expecting when buying a backbox.
