Yams Mondeo Estate.

Been driving this since selling the MG ZT TD last Sept......so nearly 12 months with the same motor...wow.
Its was originally a 2.0 GLX Estate.
Had a genuine 59k on it...2 owners, and the last was a right petrol head.
Basically he fitted the full ST 24 styling kit and fitted a very rare ST200 interior.
Just a couple of very minor car park dints other than that......A1 Mint condition.
I Had the cambelt changed and sorted the Air con.......and its not missed a beat, averaging 35/37mpg since I have owned it.
Its a great tool as well......with all the swim club meets that I do ect with the kids.....swallows loads of crap.
Part the reason as well....if it does go wrong its a cheap fix.

I know some will not like it, but I do.

Its a one of as well Richard....so it appeals to me.
Registered in Dec 1999.....the car had only done 400mile in 18 months......been sitting in a massive garage.
The owner had only used it for moving the odd awkward load and he`d just replaced it with a Focus Diesel Estate.
He also owned a C class Merc and a BMW......

The Mondeo had been maintained regardless of expense and it showed....

Got all the sporty looks of the ST24 Estate but cuz its the 2.0 Zetec its reasonably good on fuel ect.

Have just had a service (recent Hernia Op stops me fettling at the mo) and it flew thru its MOT......needed two rear tyres, but I knew this anyways.
Its a nice car and something a little different.

Chris the Duratec V6 is lovely but you don`t get mid 30`s mpg.....and I believe the Zetec 4 pots to be more robust as well.

Thing is I still keep looking at 800`s but the last 2, both Sterlings felt kak in comparison........Plus I have to compare against the Vitesse that I hastily sold last year.
Hopefully am off to NZ in 2 months for a month, so should not be looking at cars.....but I think I got the bug after years of keeping a motor for ages...I have changeitis now.......

This Mondy is a very nice car....I had a derv Mk I for 8 years and I think the Mk II is a very sorted motor.........and very cheap now.

Yeah and untill recently I would have always gone that way.....but cost is boss now.
