Ford 3.0 V6 and a Firbreglass Body =

"One Mellow Yellow Scimitar".

Picking this up on Monday evening.
Stainless Zorst and coolant Pipes.
Fully Poly bushed
Stainless Fuel Tank.
Spax Adjustable shocks
+ Many other little touch's.
Garaged for past five years.
Overhauled Prior to Storage.

Needs a little clean up underneath, surface rust only on the chassis, so a clean and waxoil is needed.

I love Scimitars - although the Se6 is my prefered choice.

Having a stainless steel tank, exhaust and coolant pipes fixes most of the major issues underneath the car. Front suspension needs to be cosseted - it tends to wear quickly otherwise - and the diff will get noisy in time, but regular diff oil changes will hold it off. My SE6 had good electrics but earthing can be an issue but is reasonably easy to sort out, to be honest. SE5 dashboards crack, too.

PS - the title of this thread could have pointed at a Gilbern or TVR, too.

Thats why I did'nt put what it was in the title Richard, nice to keep peeps guessing.

I agree about the front end, they wear out worse than B's if not looked after properly.

This one will be getting a full fluids overhaul before a battery gets near it.
And all joints will receive new grease where needed.

I had a purple Scimitar SE5 about 30 years ago. I remember it smelled of damp and resin and plastic. But I really liked it and sold it to a mate and bought a Stag (without a 'screen) with the money. Happy days!
No longer an 800 owner!
