We take the D13
to reach Montpezat D’Agenais located on a hill
With its mill restored according to the rules of the art
Overlooking the valley on the north side
Its church dominating the south side (but I could not take a photo), and its school dating from 1858
We take the D13 that we will leave shortly after for the D298. We're close to the meeting point and it's time to see what the Rover has in the gut. This very beautiful winding road is perfect for that. And while the 827 is obviously not a sports car, it holds the road perfectly, is agile and drives quite well. The only small complaint would be to blame for a slightly long 3rd gear and especially a gearbox whose bolts are hard and do not allow to take advantage of up or down speeds. On the other hand, the musicality of the V6 is very pleasant

That's it, I arrive in Bazens, a pretty little village with its 15th century castle
And its adjoining 14th / 15th century Saint Martial church.
As most of the general assembly attendees are from the region and the weather was uncertain, few took their pleasure cars, but there were :
A Datsun 240 Z
A Jaguar XJ-S
A DMC Delorean
A Jaguar XK8
A Jaguar XJ6 4.2l serie 2
A Jaguar X Type 3.0 and an ID19
After a good meal and a harmonious general assembly, it's time for me to hit the road again, and when I arrive in Gironde, the weather deteriorates, and it rains more and more as we get closer to Angoulême, which makes the journey tiring because in addition to the rain, night has fallen and on small roads without any white line, it is a little tiring, especially if this morning there was hardly anyone, this evening there is a little traffic especially in Charente.
The odometer shows 111 281 km which makes a journey of 395 km which will have taken me a little less than 4 hours to go and a little less than 3 hours to come back, yes, taking pictures takes time ...
The on-board computer gives 8.8 l / 100 but it was at 8.6 l / 100 before "I attack" for the last 15 kilometers of the journey. Which isn't bad for a large 177 hp V6 sedan, especially since outside of town I drove 20 km / h over the speed limit.
I hope that this story was understandable and that I didn’t make too much faults

Indeed, the interior is in very very good condition. For example if I remove the rubber mat (Original Rover one), the carpet is perfect.

I took my Rover to go last month at a gathering of "vintage" cars in Jarnac (10 km from Cognac)
As I arrived late, I had to park my car outside of the gathering, but with not so bad cars my car with a Jaguar XJ8 X300 and a BMW E30
Some photos of the gathering but rest assured that the most interesting
Auto Union DKW F93 Berline 2 portes de 1956 (3 cylindres, 2 temps de 906 cm3, 38 Ch VMax de 123 km/h)
Simca 8 Sport coupé (4 Cyl, 1089 Cm3, 42 HP) manufactured by the bodybuilder Facel Metallon
Very typical French car, the Citroën Type H
An rare English Sport Car which is a MGA Coupé
As you could see on the pictures there was a lot of other cars more or less vintage like

There is an almost identical Audi/NSU living in my village here as well. The owner also has a collection of other vehicles including a Jag or three, Mustang and so on.

Yersterday at the end of the day, the lighting was not so bad so I took my Rover to take some pictures. It is not what I expected, but it is not so bad
To come back, as I wanted to see the start of the F1 grand prix, I drove a little fast , and the sound of the V6 was very pleasant on small roads of Charente...

I did the Rover's service on Jan 22 at 116,691km with oil change, oil filter and spark plugs.
I couldn't put ATF oil on when I changed the oil as stated in another post . I had it but, it was not logical for me, and as I had a special additive that I knew (Mecarun P18, but I think it's only French) I put this.
I put more expensive NGK platinum spark plugs, because the dealer did not have the normal spark plugs in the good mark I wanted (NGK). He said these spark plugs were better and could last longer.
Do you know these spark plugs and do you know how long they can last?
On January 29, the Rover carried out its technical inspection (3 months late because with all my cars I confused the date with the Golf III one) and it passed it without problem, with only 2 comments. One for the front air bellows which are damaged and one for rust on the exhaust but only superficial with no hole.
