It does look good thank you. Just wondering now if it was really necessary now 250UCX is looking down the abyss so to speak - but not to worry.

Update
Booked the Coupe in for Cambelt/water pump thermostat and power steering oil cooler pipe replacing at M&G Bradford next Thursday. I don’t know if the Cambelt has ever been done before, so the sooner the better. Bought and used a bottle of Millers engine oil stop leak today so will keep an eye for further oil marks on concrete floor. Then putting the wheels and tyres on from the Mk1 which are pretty much new, so at least now the tyres shouldn't perish with non use. Unfortunately two of the nearly new wheels with tyres Brad provided with the car got punctured by careless builders dropping screws on the floor.

Thanks for this really good advise and suggestions Paul. I was wondering about using 2 part Epoxy resin for stone tiles? But anyway I'll probably try your tried and tested method when I do eventually fix my dashboard.

I've always had great success with superglue. Remove the instrument panels surround and pod and do a little at a time. A pack of 3 bottles from Poundland will leave you with over 50p worth for other jobs!
Do be careful with the fumes (which contain cyanide). Do the job outdoors with the car doors open (or at least all the windows open).

This thread should be made a sticky. My turbo has some lift at the left side of the dash, I'm going to try this Gorilla glue and if it doesn't work I'm going all Tarzan on you !

Re: Brad's 1992 K Grey 827 Coupe (Manual)
Done 18 miles today without incident – the first proper drive around the Aire Valley. It’s much quieter than my Mk1 but doesn’t have the same punch when you put the big foot down. It has been a long time since I drove a Mk2 827 that I had forgotten what they are like.
Going to the Garage tomorrow to get those vital parts replaced – I’m losing a fair bit of power steering fluid now due to that pipe which will be replaced with the good second hand part.
Just hoping I won’t get stopped on the way to Bradford by keen police with their ANPR gear. Though I shouldn’t worry - the car is tax tested and was insured yesterday, but this isn’t yet showing up on the motor insurance data base so I'll take an insurance certificate to be safe.
Anyhow, it’s good to be reunited with an 827 manual coupe.

Re: Brad's 1992 K Grey 827 Coupe (Manual)
Got the Coupe back – it’s driving beautifully. Darren said it’s 10 times better underneath, then my Mk1 which has filled me with lots of confidence, though I had a feeling I bought a good one from Brad. Filled up with Petrol later today and while paying I saw an old geezer giving the car a proper look see – maybe he once had one?
Work done last week: -
Cambelt/water pump change/thermostat replaced
Cooling system drained again and refilled with new quality coolant/rust inhibitor
Second hand power steering oil cooler pipe fitted and new ps fluid
Torque wheels nuts torqued
Faulty rear passenger side indicator fixed
General check over
Still to do (Outstanding)
Radio decoding
Fit new complete lockset
Fit red HT Leads
Fit sport turbo roll bars
Front fog light – new bulb
Gluing together dash above the clocks
New gear stick gaiter and gear knob
New Grey armrest cover
Repainting of rear arches and drivers door
Polish body work again and leather interior
It will eventually need a new clutch, - bought a new old stock kit today £20.00 (Ebay)
I’m very happy!

Bought a few Ebay clutches my self for these and none have failed me yet. my cheapest was £14 but that was in 1906 so i guess with inflation and the fact that less people want them £20 is excellent
It's a 3 piece good after market quality Quinton Hazell branded clutch kit, so I think this was a very good buy. A bit of muscle is need to change gears especially 1st to 2nd. I think most old Honda boxes share this. I already have the Vitesse sport turbo roll bars bought from a forum member here called Chris last year £50.00.

That's interesting to know - you can probably tell I'm no mechanical buff! The clutch feels fairly light compared with my Mk1 which has no particular feel to it at all.

Spot the difference:-
There is a large rust hole half the size of Iceland under the strip which I didn't get a picture of so the rear screen will have to come out at some point for this to be welded up.
I have fitted a modified Mk1 rear boot badge because the old one was bubbling. I used the existing Mk2 badge as a base and sanded it down on the belt sander and fixed the new Mk1 badge with the lugs removed on top. Not quite perfection but not obviously modified to the eye. Lastly fitted a new rubber clutch pedal cover to stop my foot slipping. I love easy little jobs like these!
