Just uncovered the old girl for a 200 mile spin to Manchester and back and ....wallop, dumped all her oil on the drive, quick look underneath and it seems to be coming from the oil filter, I'm hoping so but haven't time to investigate now ..........goddamit, beautiful couple of sunshine days as as well before the cover goes back on...grrr

sorry to see you've got a problem with the Coupe Gaz, have you had chance to get a look at it yet? has the filter come loose?

Not had a chance yet Steve, need to crack on though as at Lincoln Castle on 8th June and RSR National at Bury St Edmunds 28th June ...........hopefully

Well great news, was a corroded genuine Rover oil filter split, filled it with cheap multigrade to confirm and warm up, then drained and changed filter and oil to quality Shell semi 10/40 and another genuine Rover filter, all is good with the world again and ready for Lincoln Castle show next weekend.

I would say 18 months ..............................

, even though only done around 3000 miles, it's a salutory lesson to change religously on date not just miles methinks, but still disappointed a genuine Rover filter can go like this.
